I am purchasing this as a gift for an avid baker, so I haven't actually used it. However, it looks to be a very quality item, and is made in the USA, which is a huge bonus. Shipping time was reasonable, and I appreciate the free returns (though I know this won't be going back!).

I purchased the bakery pin; it has a lovely feel in the hands; a good heft, and covers a lot of dough area.

I've always used the old rolling pin left to me by my mother, and her mother before her. I finally decided I needed a new one, and this is the best rolling pin I've ever used. It is so heavy and sturdy, but yet, glides with ease with the ball bearings in the roller handles. It cleans up like a dream, too. I would highly recommend it, and I know I will have it to pass on to my children and grandchildren, someday.

The rolling pin wal well made of what seems to be one piece of wood. It is also a little on the heavy side for me but that is what I really preferred. Care instructions are included which is good. If you care for it, the rolling pin should last a long time.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: my breadmaking equipment
Favorite Brand: I like to try different products since I sometimes find brands that I never heard of to be really good.
Pros: easy to use, construction, durability, capacity, Material, Appearance/ Design /Style, easy to store, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting

I have seen rolling pins similar for less but you have to check the details. Here you are getting an excellent hard maple roller that is long enough to roll out anything you may ever encounter. The competition low price is often shorter , smaller diameter and/or of a lesser wood. Stick with this stick.

I gave my daughter the rolling pin for Christmas. She was very impressed with the quality....so was I. Thank you so much for carrying good products. it's really hard to find things that are dependable. I know I can always oder from "Chefs" and be satisified with products ordered.

Solidly built

I bought the pin with the handles. I never thought to question how hard it was to roll-out a pie crust using my mother's rolling pin. When I saw this model, it dawned on me that it was because it wasn't heavy enough. Isn't the rolling pin supposed to be the one doing the work without my having to lean into it? This rolling pin works great and is solidly built. I think this rolling pin will last for generations. Could double as a weapon! Only drawback is it's very long.
