Recently moved & still searching for my pie shields, so I ordered these! These are the absolute best!!!! I've made several pies & they are beautiful. No pumpkin pie stuck on the edges, no more burnt crust! Really need to get at least 2 because you will use them more than ever! They clean up so well & continue to look like new. These are keepers! Excellent gift for a new bride, someone starting on their own, even a nice hostess gift. Highly reccommend these!

This is a product that works so well it makes me wish I had purchased this years ago. It keeps my pie crust from over browning/burning. My pies come out of the oven looking so professional thanks to the help of these pie crust shields. (No more crimping aluminum foil to use as pie crust shield.) I bought an extra one for me and four more to hand out as hostess/birthday/Christmas gifts.

I have old pyrex and fire king glass pie plates with the glass handles and they are very large. This pie crust shield, item #: 24460, actually fits. It fits on top of my pies, covers the edge of crust and keeps them from over-browning. There are two cut outs on the bottom edge of the pie shield, so that it fits nicely and stays put where the handles are on my pie plates, which makes removal from the oven safe. It is made from a nice thick metal with a nonstick finish. It cleans up beautifully, even with stuck on overflow from apple pies. Just be sure you let it cool naturally. The metal edges are not sharp or ragged so you do not cut yourself. This is an excellent product.

I got lucky. These pie crust shields fit perfectly over my standard-size Emile Henry ceramic pie pans (with the fluted rim/edge). I haven't baked with them yet, but I figure these can't possibly be worse or more difficult to use than annoying strips of foil that keep falling off...

Better than sliced bread! I have tried pie crust shields that came in sections and I have tried folding aluminum foil to protect my pie crusts. Neither of these work well and are a fussy pain to deal with. Life is so much easier with this one-piece shield.

I ordered this product from Chef's because I have burned my hands for the last time! When I bake a pie, I have always used strips of aluminum foil crimped around the edges of the crust of my pie. I almost always burn the top of my hand or my fingers on the hot oven while putting on or removing the foil during the baking process.
While I was looking at my latest Chef's catalog, I happened to spot this pie crust shield and decided to order one. It works great and guess what? No more burns my hands!

I have struggled with different approaches to keeping the crust on my pies from burning. Prior to Thanksgiving, I shopped several stores looking for a crust protector with NO luck! Fortunately, I Goggled my need and the Chef's website was suggested. There it was just what I needed. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick. I have already used the crust protectors twice and I am very satisfied with the results---so were my guests. Thanks.

After baking pies for 40+ years I finally decided to buy this pie crust shield. It took me that long to get tired of trying to cover the crusts with aluminum foil to keep them from getting burnt. This shield works marvelously well, no more burnt crusts. My husband really appreciates it. And it wass not outrageously expensive. Thank you!

love this shield for baking pies since the crust can sometimes get too brown; I bake pecan pies quite often and these come in handy; my niece once gave me a couple of these and I did not think I needed them so I gave them away! found out there are times when I DO need this handy shield so I bought one for me and one for my sister!
