I bought this for my boyfriend who is lactose intolerant and loves ice cream - especially soft serve. We used Fat Free Lactaid in the chocolate recipe and it came out perfect! I also substituted half the regular sugar for Splenda and you'd never know. Next time I substitute all since there is also brown sugar in the recipe. What a joy to have this machine! Can't wait to try the rest of the recipes!

I love my new soft serve icecream machine. It is easy to use and performs as advertised. Clean up is also easy. I didn't care for the vanilla recipe. It was too creamy for my taste, so I am going to experiment with more milk and less cream next time.

I purchased the soft serve ice cream machine for the family on Christmas! We love it! We have used it every night so far and have gotten very creative with doing coookies and cream. We have also mastered getting it in to the cone! this is a great family gift!

We tried to make soft serve ice cream 5 different times and the resulting product wasn't even thick enough to use as a milk shake. It was like drinking flavored milk. It does not work. Waste of time and money.

I love the ice cream maker. It works as stated, makes ice cream quickly. I made used it at Christmas for my grandchildten and great neice's, they all loved the ice cream. I filled the topping dispenser and it worked great. The ice cream dispenses pretty slow which is great because it is harder than it seems to get use to keeping it inside the cone and spinning. It was a great hit! I purchased an extra bowl but had plenty to make about 10 cones and still had more in the machine.

Fun concept for kids at a great price! It's not exactly like getting a "soft serve" from an ice cream shop, but it is a lot of fun to make at home. The ice cream takes longer to freeze up than I expected (about 30 minutes) so make sure you don't have a hungry group waiting... And if you let the ice cream churn too long, it will harden up and will not be able to come out the bottom.
Recipe is a bit rich but when I tried it with 1/2 & 1/2, the ice cream was icy, not creamy. Stick with the original recipe!

we really enjoy the ice cream maker...really easy to use ..only draw back i have is it doesnt make very much ice cream at a time for a family of 5..recipes are great and easy to use as well..very easy to clean too.

Machine works much like I thought and read in the reviews except the ice cream did not dispense as quickly as I had anticipated. Instead of a steady, flowing stream of ice cream like in the restaurants, you get a plop-plop of ice cream in the bowl.
Alos, the mini m&ms don't dispense in a nice continuous flow from the condiment holder.

This is a great product. so far I have made ice cream, gellato, and sherbet. it is easy to use and the kids and my husband love the self serve option. They say it's like going to the soft serve yogurt store only they don't have to get dressed and drive to the store! I am going to purchase another one for my best friend so she stops threatening to steal my ice cream maker.

My grandchildren had such a good time making soft serve with this product. Of course their mother had to help. I would recommend. The ice cream was great( mother is a great cook) and it didn't take too long. Just be sure to ice the bowl enough and you'll have a great treat!

My husband made the banana ice cream recipe that came with the machine. This was the BEST ice cream ever-smooth and creamy and soft. We froze the leftovers and even though it was hard it was just as delicious. This machine is fast and so easy to use.

I enjoyed the ice cream maker it was easy to assemble. I would recommend this product to my friends. I had a family gathering to my house and the kids and adult all love the ice cream. They thought I had Dairy Queen ice cream.

It is a great little machine. I purchased an extra freezer tub with it and it is easy to make 3 quarts of Sorbet, Sherbet or Ice Cream in about 1 hour and 15 minute including cleanup. As with and machine like this, you have to wait at least 12 hours before you can make more do to freezing the tubs. How much icecream do you need anyway! It is a great little softsoft machine. I highly recomend this unit.

I bought this because my grandsons were coming to visit and they both love soft ice cream. It is always enjoyable doing things in the kitchen with them so I thought this would be fun. It was. It makes more you think...certainly more than enough for two little boys but I do suggest that if you are entertaining a large crowd or you have some really big eaters that you get the extra tub.

Cons: need more recipies in the booklet, booklet instructions could be clearer

We had soooo much fun making our own ice cream, the different flavors and the SPRINKLES !!. So much easier than the old ice cream makers. The kids and grandson loved it, they said it was better than going to the ice cream store. Clean up was a breeze. I am just glad that I bought the extra freezer bowl !!! Can't go wrong with this product. The recipe booklet that comes with it has some great recipes! Now all the kids want me to buy the cone maker !!! Which, I probably will !!!!
