ALOT OF FUN
April 8, 2008 sxbnyfrom LONG ISLAND,NY
"I got this Ice Cream maker for a shower gift from my mom. It is exactly like I imagined it would be. It is very easy to use and to clean. The ice cream only takes between 12-15 minutes and comes out awesome. The vanilla is better than Carvel I think. I also made the strawberry ice cream but used blueberries instead. I am going to make raspberry next. Can't wait until the next time!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!"
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!

"This product is easy and fun to use! We gave this to our children for Christmas and they've had a blast making their own fresh ice cream every night. This product is going to be a hit this summer and may easily replace going out for ice cream. The only drawback is that the ice cream dispenses slowly and someone who is too impatient may depress the lever too hard, which could result in breakage."
Children love it!
April 23, 2009 Manafrom Alexandria
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use Cons: need more recipies in the booklet, booklet instructions could be clearer
"I bought this because my grandsons were coming to visit and they both love soft ice cream. It is always enjoyable doing things in the kitchen with them so I thought this would be fun. It was. It makes more you think...certainly more than enough for two little boys but I do suggest that if you are entertaining a large crowd or you have some really big eaters that you get the extra tub."
Sooooo Much FUN !!!!
April 8, 2009 GrammieLoves2cookfrom Texas
"We had soooo much fun making our own ice cream, the different flavors and the SPRINKLES !!. So much easier than the old ice cream makers. The kids and grandson loved it, they said it was better than going to the ice cream store. Clean up was a breeze. I am just glad that I bought the extra freezer bowl !!! Can't go wrong with this product. The recipe booklet that comes with it has some great recipes! Now all the kids want me to buy the cone maker !!! Which, I probably will !!!!"
Best Purchase Ever!!!!

Pros: don't have to go out for ice cream anymore, you add whatever you want, you know what's in your icecream Cons: none!!!!
"I LOVE this ice cream maker!!! I use it at least once a week. Its super easy to use and clean.I did have trouble the first time because the bowl was not cold enough, but ever since its great!! I used it during the holidays and substitued pumpkin coffee creamer and egg nog for the milk and the results were to die for.I highly recommend it,especially with kids,we have cut out our daily trip to the soft serve ice cream stand."
What a neat toy
January 20, 2009 lecottsiesfrom Sun City, California
Pros: fun Cons: must be patient and learn
"This is a great toy for the Worlds Worst Cook. (Me) I can make ice cream cones for the grand hatchlings and be a hero.
I love tools and this fits right in for a tool lover. I am trying to learn to cook and this toy helps me be a winner. Remember that this is for soft ice cream and not the hard ice cream.
Now...I must learn to make cookies for those little hatchlings. Gonna find another toy to do this."
Kids love it
January 13, 2009 LakeNormanfrom Charlotte, NC
"My kids love to help make the ice cream. They love to watch it thicken before it is squeezed out into the cones or bowls. They like that they can pick what they want to mix in. This is a great product. Wish the bowl was a little bigger to make more at a time but getting an extra bowl will help that."
Quick, easy and delicious
January 8, 2009 bubblegumkidfrom Honolulu, HI
Pros: easy to use, makes ice cream in minutes
"This was the quickest and easiest way of making ice cream. This machine takes a couple of tries to get the consistancy just right for soft serve and the recipe included was very good. Just be sure the bowl is fully frozen."
Ice Cream Store at Home
January 8, 2009 attheinletfrom Ponce Inlet, FL
Pros: easy to use. Cons: loud
"My family and I went out almost daily for soft serve ice cream. I realised how much this was costing, so when I saw it I thought it was worth the hundred dollars to try. We used it several days during the week always following the low fat recipe. It tasted very good and the consistency was very similair to the store. I found that it took a little longer to be the thickness I wanted. Therefore, the only really problem is remembering to put it together half an hour before I want it. In the long run, I am saving money and time not having to leave the barrier island to enjoy a treat. I always have extra and freeze it for ice milk in a container to scoop out. There are lots of other recipes to try in the book that comes with it and they look good. However, I am always concerned about the fat content so I haven't tried them"
Go For It
January 8, 2009 cookingfoolfrom St Petersburg, FL
Pros: fun and easy to use Cons: product is not quite like the ice cream stores.
"If you enjoy ice cream and creating your own flavors, I can't see how you would not enjoy this machine. We bought it for our summer home in a small town where good ice cream is not available. So far we have made several batches just to test it out. We have a full size freezer in the garage and find that it gets the bowl quite cold but it takes 20-25 minutes for the product to firm up enough to swirl. We've never quite gotten it to look like the pictures. That may be because we have made only frozen yogurt and gelato, both low or no-fat products. The yogurt recipes from the included recipe book produce a tart flavored product that we enjoyed. The gelator recipe from a web site was much sweeter and more intensely flavored. We look forward to trying more recipes and creating our own. Left over yoghurt gets icy, so we let if defrost a few minutes before serving. With only two of us, we can't eat the whole quart. This machine is fun and easy. I know we'll use it a lot."
Love it!
January 8, 2009 Jeanneirenefrom Colorado Springs, CO
Pros: quick and easy Cons: small parts to clean
"This ice cream maker is such a fun item. It is so quick that it makes it easy to make fun treats in a flash. There are lots of recipes to try and there are more availabe from other food sites that work well, too. Making healthy treats is so easy. I would recommend cleaning the machine immediately after use - cleanup can take time but then it is ready to go next time!"
Fun but bulky
January 8, 2009 Zeratulfrom Denver, CO
Cons: bulky
"The ice cream maker creates delicious home-made ice cream. The mix-ins are fun to add and works great unless you try to use larger mix-ins which get jammed in the dispenser. Getting the right consistency for dispensing the ice cream can be a bit tricky with some recipes. Overall, it is a fun product that makes good ice cream. I just wish it would be a bit smaller to store."
A bit of a disappoiintment
October 27, 2008 Sisabellefrom Chicago
"I suppose finding the right consistency is the key to this but that has proved nearly impossible for us. When you think it is the right consistency it is too thick to flow through the machine and the consistency that does allow it to flow through is much too soft to look anything like the picture. It also took way longer then stated even to get to the soupy consistency that makes it through the machine. At first the kids liked it as a novelty but lost interest when it took so long and then didn't really look like ice cream to them."
The key to my husband's heart is sorbet.......
June 3, 2008 Ourcausefrom Potomac, Maryland
"I bought the soft-serve ice cream maker because I thought it would be fun to learn how to make sorbet. We have not only had so much fun trying different flavors, but also have nearly perfected the process! So far, we've made tangerine, kiwi, lemon, raspberry, lime, watermelon and blackberry. Tonight we're trying cherry!! This is an excellent machine and my husband no longer craves Dairy Queen blizzards!"
"I was really excited about this product. When I got it I was a little surprised at how tall it was. I have used it once and really enjoyed the ice cream. Mine took longer than than the instructions stated to get to a soft serve consistancy. You have to keep an eye on it. The mix-ins compartments didn't work very well. I used the recommened ingredients but they would got stuck. The assembly is easy, but there are a lot of parts. They are pretty easy to clean, just a lot of them. Overall I would probably recommend this ice cream maker for those have lots of time and lots of storage space. The ice cream was good but I think I prefer a regular ice cream maker."
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...OR MONEY
March 16, 2008 Mattfrom Houston, TX
"The ice cream doesn't really freeze, it just stays soupy. Even after having the freezer bowl in the deepest part of the freezer for over a week! I tried 3-4 different times. If you do get it to remotely work, you can only make one batch at a time. It will NEVER look like it does in the picture. I have (4) other ice cream makers, so this is not my first rodeo. I returned it. I would DEFINITELY not recommend this unit."
What a treat!
January 11, 2008 onairlady2001from Salamanca, NY
"This is so easy to use...you'll want to keep it handy!
Pros: It really takes only 20 minutes for homemade ice cream! The unit is easy to assemble/disassemble for cleaning and it is very sturdy.
Cons: The ice cream does dispense slowly. Also, the recipes are too sweet. Be prepared to adjust the amount of sugar in the recipes to suit your own taste.
This unit is fun and you can have low fat sorbet and sherbet or treat yourself to rich ice cream in no time at all. I highly recommend this item,"
We Love It
January 4, 2008 CARBRIfrom Schoharie, NY
"I bought this ice cream maker for my husband as a Christmas gift. My boys, husband, and I love it. The machine and recipies are so easy and fast. Now I have to make sure that I have the ingredients stocked."
Yummy!
January 4, 2008 KitchenBettyfrom San Diego, CA
"This Christmas my 9 year old daughter received this ice cream maker from her grandmother. As you can guess, the entire family was excited to put this thing together and start making ice cream. Everything about this machine is EASY.. Easy to set up, easy to use and easy to clean. The hardest thing about this machine is what flavor ice cream to make first. Even though the machine dispenses soft serve ice cream, if you freeze the ice cream for some time, it does harden up and the taste is still simply wonderful and so creamy. I totally recommend this to anyone. Great for kid's parties too! Don't forget to purchase an extra freezer bowl and check out the waffle-cone maker too. Enjoy!"
LOVE IT!

"AFTER READING SOME OF THE NEGATIVES ABOUT THIS ICE CREAM MAKER MY FAMILY AND I HAD STRAWS OUT READY TO HAVE MILKSHAKES INSTEAD OF SOFT ICE CREAM. AFTER THE 15 MINUTES PASSED WE HAD SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM. AND OH SOOO YUMMY! WE HAD THE SIMPLE CHOCOLATE TO START. WHAT A WAY TO END THE YEAR! NOW DIETS STARTING WE WILL TRY THE LOW FAT AND FROZEN YOGURT RECIPES."
