I bought the fine grater and it zests citrus the best of any I've had. Easy to hold and use. The handle fits the hand comfortably and securely and the safety shield makes it safe to store in a door with other tools.

I had an old grater from 30 years ago that was dull as a rock. I hate to buy new kitchen equipment, but I had to zest two lemons for a recipe, so I decided that some tasks require the proper tools. After reading the detailed steps and photos for this recipe, I saw that the person used this kind of grater and raved about it. That was enough for me. And this is SUCH an easy tool to use. I should have bought it 30 years ago.

I bought these because the zester/grater area is 100% metal. They are replacing previously purchased microplanes that surrounding the metal grating area was a plastic frame that in time became brittle and cracked (like most plastic). I've used them several times so far and they do a great job.

We use this more than I thought we would. Whether for grating just enough cheese over pasta or a little orange zest for a recipe, this is always out of the drawer and in use. And I use it for things I wouldn't have thought of before like grating onion or garlic for a salad dressing.

This tool is invaluable. I'm in the kitchen a lot and add fresh zest to baked goods as well as soups, stews, and other dishes. The microplane premium zester/grater is super sharp, super fast and most importantly to me, very easy to hold and grip. It is very easy to just get the zest from the fruit without digging down to the bitter white pith. I hand wash my zester by with a cloth in the opposite direction I grate. If I rinse between each use, then clean up when I'm done is a breeze.

This zester/grater is as cool as the citrus juicer I bought from Chef's. I found a great lemon cake recipe on Dr. Weil's website and the zester/grater and citrus juicer helped me in baking this great lemon cake. I can't say enough about this zester/grater. It is so easy to use and grates very finely...great clean-up...can't wait to use for other purposes in the kitchen.

These are so large that they are hard to handle. I can grate much faster with my old- fashioned grater. I really dislike them. I have not tried the zester yet but it probably works. Don't waste your money on this product

never zested much but these things are razor sharp and fit in my utensil container. 2 minutes and everything tastes better we now throw nothing away

I've cooked and baked all my life and don't know how I got along without this! The ultra-fine is perfect for zesting just the thickness of citrus peel and doesn't get any white pith. It also grates it so fine that I don't have to spend time and effort trying to chop the peel with a knife and don't have to throw it into a mini food processor, which then would have to be cleaned. Just got the premium one and it's perfect for chocolate shavings and citrus peel for drinks.

I've used a box grater and several small graters for years and finally decided to buy this set. I am glad I did. The other graters were thrown out the first time I used the medium grater on Parmesan cheese. In thirty seconds I had as much grated cheese as I did with the box grater in several minutes.
They are also easy to clean: tap it gently on the containing dish and then run it under water. It might not be as easy to clean on chocolate but then I rarely grate that.
They all come with plastic sleeves to keep them from scraping against things in a drawer and also against your fingers.
