Pros: works efficiently, guard protects it for storage Cons: supervise with children -- very sharp
"The Microplane Grater is efficient and easy to clean...best of all it does the job quickly. I got one after a Thanksgiving experience of trying to grate/zest several citrus fruits with a standard grater...it took forever and I was not happy with the results. I got this as a stocking stuffer and haven't looked back -- simply wonderful and I'm glad my loved one got the pink one to also support breast cancer awareness."

"The Microplane zester / grater is the best kitchen tool ever! It zests citrus fruit in no time, it's fantastic on nutmeg and other spices, and it's excellent with cheese or even garlic. It's very easy to clean, and the sheath it comes with keeps it and your fingers safe when you're storing it. I couldn't live without it!"

"While billed as great for zesting, my son loves it for grating parmesan on his food (pasta, eggs, etc). And the more I get him involved in the process the more he eats! I totally don't let him use a normal grater that grabs fingers too quickly. Also this is really easy to clean."
