This is a christmas gift I bought for my mom-who lives in the country and uses a plastic tupperware for her compost, it sits on the counter and looks nasty. I know she is going to love it- I took it out of the box and its awesome.

I ordered this beautiful ceramic composter to replace the uninteresting, repurposed black plastic container I was using for my scrap food items. Aside from looking fabulous on my sink, it is large and I absolutely cannot smell any of the composting food inside it! I'm very pleased.

The Compost Countertop Keeper looks so much better than the bowls, plates, etc. that I have been using to hold my kitchen compost until I could take it out to the backyard. Even the bad smell of rotting spinach did not come through the carbon filter! No fruit flies! And I am pleasantly surprised at how much it holds. Good decision!

I got this container for my mother so that she would not have to make so many trip to the garbage can with her cooking trimmings. It looks very pretty on her counter and really does keep the odors to a minimum. So nice I am going to get one for myself.

These look fantastic but lid didn't fit properly. The opening was visibly out-of-round, preventing lid from seating properly. I ordered a replacement, but its opening was too large and prevented an airtight seal.

When I'm in the Kitchen, I become: Crowd Pleaser
I am so glad I saw this and purchased it. I have composted for years and used various items to hold the kitchen 'garbage'. Nothing looked nice and they all smelled terrible. This contains the smell, no nats, and it looks so nice sitting on the counter. It is easy to transport to compost pile with the sturdy handle. LOVE IT!!!

Very cute and perfectly sized for teh countertop - it's small enough to keep close at hand without being in the way, while big enough to hold a decent amount of waste. I would describe it as semi-odor free. If you don't close the liner bag inside the pail, the charcoal filter will minimize the odor, but not eliminate it. And the scent can be rather unpleasant, so you'll probably want to deposit the compost materials into the bin before the pail is full.

This is exactly what I expected. It's true to the look and the product features listed. Regardless of the scraps that are placed in it, it's odorless. However, I wish I'd taken the word-of-warning from another reviewer before committing to the red. White seemed too "boring" but the red does look like a little fire hydrant sitting on the counter top. It no longer resides there, but under the sink -- when not in use. I really don't need to draw THAT much attention to my compost keeper. Happy Gardening!

This product looks great on the counter top and is very handy. Much better than the ice cream tub we used to use! I've had composting kitchen garbage in it for several days and I haven't noticed any odor or gnats flying around it either.

I love this product. It is absolutley odor free and takes up hardly any space on my counter. Plenty of space inside the canister as well for all of my vegetable scraps, eggs shells, coffee grounds. Also very easy to put the scraps inside the container as a I prep for meals.
The extra nutrients are going to be put to good use in my garden soil.
The bags and filter also work great in conjunction with the product.
I have already recommended this product to my friends that garden and are concerned about protecting the environment.

The size and shape of the Countertop Compost Keeper make it ideal to keep near the sink so it is easy to collect kitchen scraps for the compost pile. It is not too large, so it also is easy to carry out and empty. The only drawback is the look of it: I have the red one and it strongly resembles a fire hydrant. So depending on how you feel about that, you may want to go with the white one.

I never thought I'd need a Compost keeper since my large plastic containers served the purpose. UNTIL the fruit flies found my little compost collection. The purchased Odor Free Countertop Keeper eliminated the flies and solved the problem. I purchased a red one and I love it.
