These gloves truly do protect from heat. I gave them only four stars because they are a little large for my hands. I wish they came in a smaller size. However, I use them literally every day and would buy them again. They perform as described.

I use a large clay pot for soups, stews, etc., and have had to rely on heavy mitts - how I love the gloves. My hands do not get hot, and I have better control over the pot and lid. I ordered a small, and they fit great. On garden gloves, I've had to buy medium to get the fingers long enough - not with these gloves. Thanks.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: good knives

After all the almost-dropped casseroles and smashed cookies from the thumb of an oven mitt, I finally bought these oven gloves. What a difference! It's so easy to get a firm grip on a round oven dish or on a baking pan that has to be turned around, especially one without sides...

These Are The Deal!!

Bought a pair of these a couple of years ago because I HATED the instability of pot holders, or those oven mitts (a thumb, and a...fin?"). Plus, way too heat sensitive. But these are the deal!!
Bought a pair for may favorite 80+ year old widowed Mother-In-Law (MIL) because i was so concerned about the "slickness" and poor heat-resistance of her pot holders....she THREW AWAY her pot holders, uses these exclusively....just bought a new pair for my lovely bride's kitchen, and took the old ones to use for my smoker.....yeah, BBQ baby!!!....and they worked out famously for me this weekend while doing a 5.25 lb. Boston butt....NO problems with all aspects of refueling, spritzing, turning, pulling off the final product....BUY THESE....ten fingers, sticky grip, heat resistant, your hands are not fins, total tactile control....
Pros: Value for Money, quality, easy to use, multi-purpose, construction, size, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, durability, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting

I have small hands and have had problems with bulky mitts. These are large enough for bigger hands but still allow for great control. Because of the size of my hands, I don't have the cuff length problem I've seen in other reviews and think these are absolutely perfect. Will be getting them as gifts for other bakers in the family!!

These gloves are the best addition to my kitchen. For people with small hands the gloves are especially helpful. You have so much more control and they really protect your hands and wrists. They are especially useful in grasping small containers like ceramic ramekins that slip through your hands with mits. They hold up and wash easily. I have given them as gifts to friends who rave about them.

What took so long for this to be on the market? How clumsy and cumbersome are the oven mitts that are like huge mittens. These allow you the flexibility of taking even little items out of the oven without sticking your thumb in them. I think they are great. Just wish they had a loop to hang on a hook. But no worries, I did it myself.

I'm loving these gloves!! I am so glad I bought two so I can use them as a set. They have performed well in every instance I've tried. They are so much easier for maneuverability in the kitchen - whether it's rotating something in the oven, lifting things out, or tilting a pan or stockpot for pouring. I have held pans/dishes from a 400 degree oven and not experienced any heat "bleed-through" to my hands. My only concern has been whether the fingertips will develop holes where they are sewn together - we'll see (I'd still probably buy another pair). I don't know yet how they'll be to clean.

Seems pricey, but great for klutzes like me. ;) Mine had a run-in with lasagne sauce & blueberry pie, but a warm wash & drip dry made them look like new!

Most hotpads and pot holders are so bulky I don't feel I'm getting a good grip on a hot pan. With these gloves, I get a great grip with good heat resistance. I'm planning to order several more pair to give as gifts.

When using an extra hot oven, these gloves are the perfect product. I recommend getting two for ease in lifting heavier pans from the oven. The silicone grips allow you to get firm hold on pans and the glove completely protects your hands

I bought two, one for each hand. Whenever removing something from the oven, I usually needed to use both hands. This solves the problem and I remove the item(s) with ease and no fear of burns.

These oven gloves work so much better than potholders or oven mitts for handling heavy casseroles, dutch ovens etc. They provide a much better grip and offer better control in handling hot cooking vessels. Gloves are soft and extremely flexible making moving heavy pots/pans from oven so very easy. Well worth the extra cost. I have not had them long enough to put them through the wash...so not sure how they will hold up long term.
