The best sharping stone I have ever had.The fine side is fine enough to make your knife make a clean cut through a Filet Mignon and leave the edges square!
Pros: Value for Money, easy to use, Appearance/ Design /Style, easy to store
Wow! That is what I said after cutting with my knives after sharpening with this stone. For years I had used pull through sharpeners and even tried the electric kind. They kept my knives reasonably sharp but after sharpening them on this stone I now know what I have been missing out on. Cutting tomatoes is like cutting through warm butter!
Granted using the stone took some practice but the included angle and instructions made it easy. I got the hang of it in just a few minutes. It was really not as hard as I had expected.
My husband even loves it and has been using it to sharpen his tools. I recommend this to anyone who appreciates fine cutlery and enjoys working with a perfectly sharp knife!

I am hoping that when I learn the correct angle and pressure to use my knives will be nice and sharp. A stone can be much easier and less expensive than having to take my knives out to be sharpened. Hopefully I'll soon be a pro. I'm giving 4 stars only because I must learn to use the product correctly.

Easier than I thought!

After reading about using a stone for knife honing and sharpening I thought it would take a bit of practice to use this tool effectively. After consulting the very clear instructions included with the stone, I found it quite easy to put a good sharp edge on my Henckels knives. I use water to lubricate the stone but food-grade lubricating oil was also included in the kit. Why didn't I do this sooner?
Pros: easy to store, easy to use, Functional/Useful, Performs Well, good instructions
Cons: none!
