Works well!...one note about the instructions

"This really does extend the life of herbs considerably. How nice to get all the way through a bunch of cilantro without throwing half of it away!
One note: the instructions tell you to not refrigerate thin leafed herbs like cilantro and flat parsley, and to just leave the herbs in water on the counter. I found that this way did not work to extend freshness. I would advise placing the container in the fridge no matter what herbs you place in there, and you will get great results.."

"I have no idea why this works (science was never my strong suit), but this little gizmo has at least doubled the shelf-life of my herbs. It's especially great with leafy, temperamental plants like cilantro and basil. I used to waste at least half the cilantro I bought, because it wilted and rotted before I could use it all. Not any more. And it takes up no more room in the fridge than a medium-size soda bottle. I just bought a second one."

"No more wet shelves from knocking over a glass with water/herbs in it. Its a very substantial, heavy-duty plastic container and rubber stopper, I was impressed. I was even more impressed by how long my herbs stayed so fresh (plus no more cussing for knocking over a glass with water/herbs.....)"

"My husband scoffed at me for buying another gadjet,but he stopped laughing when I made him an omelet with herbs that were still flavorful 2 days after I picked them. I do have a suggestion; for the more delicate herbs like cilantro,tarragon and basil,I put a paper towel around the top of the bunch to keep the leaves from touching the sides and top and they last even longer."

"This gadget does exactly what it says it will! I find my herbs stay fresh much longer than just sitting in the fridge by themselves. I would definitely recommend buying it if you use a lot of fresh herbs."

"I bought this herb keeper for when my herbs came in this summer from my garden. I had asparagus in the frig. so I put the bunch in the keeper & I didn't use it for quite a few days. To my delight I was very pleased to find it crisp and fresh. I can hardly wait until my herbs are stored. Very happy with this."

"Very useful, has definitely saved me money by keeping herbs fresh longer. Only drawback really is the size. If you jam a fresh bunch of parsley in there, it's very tight. The tight fit seems to have an adverse effect."

"I purchased two of these, and I'm not sorry! I made the mistake of following the instructions to leave certain herbs on the counter rather than the fridge; not effective. Once I placed the herbs in the fridge, they lasted for almost 2 weeks. I am very happy with the product and highly recommend it."

"I bought this after a positive review on Cooks Illustrated. It is much larger than I expected - you could put a bunch of asparagus in it without problem (they even picture this on the box).
This works great for all my herbs from thyme to basil to sage, more than doubling the time I could keep them. It kept asparagus crisp for more than 10 days. I don't know how I lived without this before!"

"I got it being skeptical, but like some other people I used it over weeks and it actually works. Be careful though, as the instructions tell you it can still "burn" herbs if your fridge is too cold. I kinda wish it was rectangular so it would be more space efficient, but I'm still thinking about buying a second one."
