I knew I was going to like it the minute I took it out of the box. So many uses other than bread.

I have yet to find anything edible that this knife will not
slice with no effort, cleanly and precisely. For example, I regularly use a mandolin to slice cucumbers, onions and radishes for Asian salads.. On a whim I tried using the Deli knife to see how thinly and consistently, I could slice each of these vegetables without using the mandolin and avoiding the cleanup. The results were uniform slices as thin as the mandolin and with little effort. It easily slices bagels and bread. Excellent product.

Sorry I didn't purchase this knife before. Usit on my cutting board and have never had such good results.

This knife is the first Wusthof purchase that I've made in a quest to update my kitchen cutlery. I originally bought this knife to replace my old hand-me-down bread knife which could no longer slice through soft butter. However, I've been using this knife to cut flat-iron steaks, vegetables, and of course... bread. the weight is perfect and the sharp edge makes clean precise cuts with ease. The angle take a little time to get used to but I definitely recommend.
