This device is very fine. Controls are neat and easy, appearance is great. It is quiet and cooking is well controlled. Highly recommend. Makes great food with ease!

I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy to use and clean this Cuisinart Vertical rotisserie, CVR-1000 was! I now know the best way to cook a chicken for flavor and tenderness. A member of my household can no longer tolerate the fumes from roasting meat in the oven. Thanks to this rotisserie, the roasting can be done and clear household air maintained.

I roasted a chicken in the Cuisinart Vertical Rotisserie, CVR-1000 and the chicken turned out with beautifully crisp skin and moist meat. Even the breast was moist and juicy,

I have owned other rotisseries and very much enjoyed this
type cooking. Although this is a beautiful unit and controls
are easy the resulting cooked product is not satisfactory
at all. The roasts and chickens are dry and are not constantly
marinated the way the horizontal rotisseries are.

I could not wait to try this out. A friend of mine had something similar in style but it was no comparison to this machine.

I purchased this rotesserie after I read the reviews. A few customers said itt was better than the "set it and forget it" rotesserie. I got rid of mine and thought I would this one. The first chicken was over cooked, the second one was much better. I am having to adapt to the different temperature choices. I have not roasted a leg of lamb yet. I have to master the chicken first. Haha.
The clean-up is a breeze.
I do not regret this purchase. I would do it again. Now for my husband's review, he loves the chicken, saying it has a better flavor, with the exception of the first one I did.

I have been researching rotisseries for several months and finally decided on this one, and I'm sure I made the correct choice. I have used the unit quite a bit now, and I'm convinced there are no products out there that can even come close to comparing with it. I did have the "Set it & Forget it" brand and it was noisy and messy, took forever to clean it properly. This one you never even hear it, and it is a snap to clean. The first week I had it, I think I used it just about every night, and the only thing that did not come out to my liking was the hot dogs, but my dog would disagree with me! He quite enjoyed his! I don't like a lot of things on my counter space, but this unit sets on my counter and looks very nice. When I did a chicken in it, my husband "picked" until it was pretty well history, Which is something he never does, and asked when I was going to do another one. I was really amazed at how much fat and drippings I had in the pan! I did follow the brining recipe and baking recipes, and I think it was better than Cosco rotisserie chicken! This weekend is Easter so we will see how good the lamb comes out, I'm hoping for some leftovers for Gyros, but know that is a farshot! You won't be dissapointed if you bite the bullet and by the best!

I had another rotisserie, which was impossible to keep free of grease. Clean up on THIS rotisserie is a snap. And I especially like that the rotisserie does not get that hot on the outside ... so much safer than the previous one. It also is very quiet when in use. It couldn't be easier to use, And the food cooked in it is great. I could not believe the amount of grease I got from the whole chicken I cooked last night. Yuck! I hesitated to buy this, because of the price. But it is worth every penny!

As other reviewers have noted, we too had a Show Time rotisserie which we have since given away. We used it often and liked it. Now that we have the CVR-1000 we are in awe of the difference. I think we've used it all but two or three days of the two weeks since we got it. Unbelievable how well the whole roasted chicken came out and it does just as well with a roast beef. We've also done steaks and hamburgers in it and haven't been disappointed yet. It is quiet, efficient, (saves energy) easy to clean and good looking. As we've only had it a short time we can't comment on durability, but appears sturdy and well made. As we have other Cuisinart appliances and have had great success with them we don't expect this one to be any different. It's a keeper...

I have a Showtime rotisserie that is just adequate, so when this came along, I didn't even consdider it. However, after much research and convincing myself that it wasn't an unnecessary purchase, I ordered one. So glad I did! It performs exactly as advertised. Easy to set up, very quiet, and a snap to clean. Chicken does not flop around (as with other rotisseries) and irregularly shaped roasts can be manipulated to cook evenly. Handsome enough to leave on the counter and you probably should, because you will use this often. More than satisfactory purchase!

I have a Showtime Rottiserie, but always wanted a vertical roaster for making meat for Gyros and this is the first I have seen that would do a great job of that!

I simply love it--construction, design and stainless-steel features--and clean-up is so easy! I would have desired more browning in the cooking time allowed (even though I rubbed it with olive oil). My chicken was moist, very tender and flavorful without seasoning. Of course, I always salt the inside of my chicken. I plan to use a higher temperature next time to see if it will brown more. I previously owned a different brand of rotisserie and there is absolutely no comparison to this one. I highly recommend this product!

If you like deli roasted chickens, you'll like this. Just be sure to season. It's kind of large to store away, but if you use it instead of your big oven, it's likely to stay out in the open. This is for the gadget lover.
