Pantry items are now lined up for easy access, jars seal very tight, can stack them if I should need to in the future. Put removable labels on them for now. A very good upgrade for bulk products.

I purchased two of these in different sizes; one to hold honey I purchase in bulk and the other to hold corn meal. I love these and will be ordering more. They are an excellent container, airthight and sturdy.

I have been looking for storage containers and did not want to use plastic. These 5 liter jars are the perfect size for flour, sugar, rice, pasta, coffee beans..they are air tight and look wonderful on your pantry shelf. I highly recommend these. Take care when washing the lid and metal rings just rinse and dry them off you do not want to put them in the dishwasher. Chefs.com has the best price and free shipping!

I have had a pantry full of PET storage containers for beans, rice, pasta, etc. However, I have become concerned over loss of moisture and oxidation. PET allows beans to dry out (so they'll take FOREVER to cook), and also allows oxygen in so that anything containing fat can become rancid. These jars will preserve the food for a longer period of time. I got the square ones, some for myself and some for my daughter. We are both satisfied. I will be placing another order. Another bonus is that they do a better job of keeping out the bugs! For smaller capacity, canning jars do the trick.

These are great for reducing oxidation of grains & flour and the ants don't even circle the sugar canister. I like being able to see how much is left in the canisters without having to open them up. I also like having the top attached by wire because it's one less loose thing in the kitchen. The wire isn't quite as heavy as that of the ones I've had since the 70's. The one disadvantage in using them for sugar and flour is that the opening is only about 3" so when you level a cup while measuring, it is likely to spill over. Also, measuring cups don't fit. I use a canning funnel to prevent this. I wish they made them with a wider mouth.

I purchased the two largest sizes and have been pleased with the results. They seal tight, but are still easy to open and close. I wish the mouth openings were wider for bigger scooping options; I assume it is easier for them to make only one size opening. Jars are well made, functional, and look nice in my pantry.

I own several Frigoverre Glass jars and am always on the look out for more. Their square shape fit together in my pantry without wasting space. The wide mouth means I can use a 7 oz. scoop to scoop food out of the jar. The glass makes it easy to see the contents and the glass top with bale closure means I don't have to worry about corroding lids and air tightness. Also, while glass is more brittle than plastic, I prefer glass because it does not interact with my food as plastic can do, and it is more easily recycled than plastics, especially, the mixed plastics.

This is a bit larger than I thought it would be. The glass is nice and thick. The seal is secure. I bought it to store homemade marinade in the refrigerator. Due to it being larger than I expected, I will have to come up with plan B. I am still glad to have it though.

These jars are exactly what I was looking for! I make a smoothie in the blender every morning and it was quite time consuming as there were a lot of ingredients. These jars allow me to make a batch for the entire week at one time, freeze them and then take out of freezer as needed. Tops are airtight, easy to see contents, fit nicely in freezer! Love them and am buying more soon!!!!!!!!

I have been looking for stroage containers like these for some time. These containers are great for keeping bulk quantities of staples such as flour, sugar and pasta, etc fresh and keeping the bugs out.
