Great soup pot

I bought this as a "one pot" soup pot, in which I could
saute, cook, and use an immersion blender to puree. It works
very well, and has saved me time and cleaning up (no saute pan, food processor, and transfer ladle.) Plus, it is handsome.

A manageable size

After years of using a stock pot which was way over-sized for the tasks I asked of it, I finally decided to invest in a product I had long admired in your catalogs and on-line, a Le Creuset. This 6-qt. size is large enough for simmering soups, boiling pasta or potatoes, and the enamel on steel construction makes it light enough to lift easily even when it's full. I particularly like the beautiful cobalt blue finish which can lift my spirits just by looking at it.

I owned a similar pot for many years, and finally discarded it when the enamel cracked. I replaced it with this one, but it is not cobalt blue. It is a less appealing blue... oh well. It functions as a good stock pot and pasta pot.
Pros: easy to use, capacity, Easy to Clean/Wash, Weight

I do a lot of cooking and entertaining, so I have an 8 quart and two huge stock pots. I decided I could really use a smaller one for smaller family oriented events. The 6 quart was on mark down so I went for it. I have not been disappointed. Le Creuset is top of the line.

I Love This Stockpot

I originally purchased this pot for candy making due to the non-reactive characteristics and size. I now reach for this pot over and over again. I love the weight, size, even heating and most of all the easy clean up. This pot cleans up with little effort to look brand new again inside and out. I love this pot and would recommend it to everyone.

It looks beautiful (mine is cobalt blue) and I may leave it stove top! The first thing I used it for was to make tomato sauce. It heated quickly & evenly over a low-medium heat, the handles did not heat up (no pot holders!), and it cleaned like a dream. I can't wait to make soup.
I haven't used it long enough to find a con.

So far I have used it only a few times, but as I suspected it would be a great addition to my kitchen. On top of the stove or in the oven it does what it was intended for. Best of all, easy cleaning. Thank you Chefs and Le Creuset. Ralph R.

Great Buy

I really like the size of this pot as I have been searching for a 6 quart stock pot for ages. The only downside I see is that you are not supposed to use high heat to start out cooking in it. The accompanying brochure indicated that you should start out on a lower temp and then move up, but not to use high heat. Waiting for water to boil so I could cook fresh corn I was a bit impatient but decided that I liked the pot so well, I'd jus remember to start the water earlier. Actually I bought this size pot for soups, potatoes, etc. I picked thte black with the light tan interior and love the look of it.

I've had my eye on this stockpot from Le Creuset for months and couldn't pass up the recent promotion. I'm so glad I did it! It cooks evenly and faster (is that even possible?) and looks beautiful on my stovetop. My only area of concern would be that the handles do get hot during use, so you'll want to keep pot holders near by. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I'm a Le Creuset freak, so it's great to have a piece of LC that isn't so heavy, is amazingly priced, and is perfect for so many things--especially boiling pasta, steaming vegetables and making stock or soup (when you don't want to feed an army). I got the 6-quart size in white and use it constantly.
