Not only does this cookbook have a plethora of recipes, it has tons of helpful information. The first chapter starts with your basic cake recipes, but for each of these, it lists ingredients by measure and weight. ( 1 cup sugar or 7 oz. or 200 grams.)
It tells what size pan to use, showing a little diagram, what the finished height will be, how to store, how to adorn, how to serve and extra pointers for success.
This book also includes several different charts, such as, number of servings vs. cake pan size and how much batter do you need to fill a specific pan.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, is that it is 22 years old and a little dated and out of over 500 pages, only 27 pages of color pictures.
I WOULD NOT LET THIS STOP ME FROM PURCHASING, there is SO much information on all things cake and frosting related in this book.
