I received this book this past Christmas and it shot to the top of my most favorite cooking books ever!!!! It's not a cookbook, but a collection of food, wine & culinary terms. Ever wonder what amuse-bouche means or even how to pronounce it? (ah-mewz-BOOSH) Looked it up and it's an appetizer not on the menu but presented to the diners before the meal begins.
Alphabetically arranged entries define and describe: fruits, vegetables, meat cuts, fish, breads, cooking terms, kitchen tools, spices, and much, much more.
I LOVE IT! Plus I plan to give copies to my sisters, my son and my daughter-in-law. Perfect even for new cooks.
This book is reference for all things foodie!!
Pros: Easy to read/Understand, easy to use, Good gift for others, Illustrations/Picture quality, Value for Money, Well illustrated, Well written
