I love the quality of this electric frying pan and the even cooking it offers. The good part is that it is heavy and has rubber "feet" to hold it in position so that it is very stable while you cook. Unfortunately, its heaviness doesn't help when you are trying to wash it.
Pros: Cord length, easy to use, construction, Performs Well, durability, capacity, quality, Appearance/ Design /Style, Functional/Useful
Cons: heavy to wash

This is the third 16" Cucino Pro Skillet I have owned (over a 10 year period.) I use this skillet almost everyday and I consider it an essential part of my kitchen. It's perfect for fixing a complete dinner, and absolutely perfect for cooking up a large order of tacos. If they had a ten-star rating that is what I would give it.
Pros: Cord length, Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, Material, Fast/ Speed, easy to use, multi-purpose, construction, size, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, durability, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, capacity

This is the finest electric skillet on the planet. It used to be made under the Villa Ware Brand name but Cucina must have bought out Villa Ware as they are identical when placed side by side. I have two one an older Villa Ware and a new CucinaPro and they are in my opinion identical. Great quality throughout and its a real pleasure to use. I have given probably 8 as gifts and each and everyone of them love it like I do.
Pros: Cord length, easy to use, Low noise, multi-purpose, construction, size, Performs Well, durability, capacity, Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, easy to store, Long-lasting

I don't know what I was thinking, when I, as a single person bought the 16" skillet. However, I am very happy with it as I can make a meal that is good and lasts for 3 meals.

Cusina ProClassic Non-Stick Electric Skillet is the best I ever owned. Just cooking for two most of the time, I wish Chef's magazine had a 10" or 11" skillet the same construction and quality my 12" skillet and 16" oblong is. I just love them. They fry evenly and use little or no oil. I would recommend both skillets to everybody!!!

Not sure how I ever lived without this electric skillet. I do love a good cast iron skillet too, but this skillet is perfect for one pot dishes like Slumgullion or Jager Schnitzel, to scrambled eggs, french toast, etc. Easy clean up, temperature easy to regulate. This is my second skillet. I plum wore out the first one (a cheaper brand) which I had for about 10 years and used it just about every single day.

It cooks great and will be very versatile. I especially like the "ear" handles instead of the usual fry pan handle - it is easier to store and to clean.

This is identical to the old Villa Ware 16 inch elec skillet which I have owned for years and gave as gifts to many a friend. I was sad to see it disappear but very happy to see it reappear under a different name. I put them side by side and they are identical. I assume Villa Ware was either bought out or sold the rights to this skillet. Bottom line one of the best Kitchen tools around and so easy to clean even after Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I leave one on my Motor home and one in my home.

Bought this skillet to have the ease of not using the cooktop of my range.
It has been years since I prepared "southern fried chicken". Couldn't wait for Christmas to use this skillet (which was a Christmas present to me from my husband). When I told him I wanted to use it early to fry chicken, he was a very happy man.
The chicken turned out wonderful and I will certainly be using it again for chicken. Looking forward to using it to make chicken parmesean. Yum! Yum!
It cleaned up beautifully. I am thinking of purchasing the smaller version of this skillet.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: Many, many "gadgets". I live my life for kitchen gadgets. I could probably furnish 3 or 4 kitchens from all the products I have on hand.

Best 16 inch NS Elec Skillet on the planet

PostedAugust 5, 2011

Villa Ware sold out their 16 in elec NS Skillet to I guess Cucina Pro is now selling it. I have the original Villa Ware and loved it as the best cooking elec skillet ever and then it disappeared. I wanted a backup in case my original now 7 years old quit working. I bought the Cucina Pro and it is an identical copy of the Villa Ware which is fine and I love it as much or the same as my Original Villa Ware. It is like having 6 or 7 cooking tools all rolled into one.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, easy to use, multi-purpose, construction, size, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, easy to store, durability, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, capacity

Best Skillet on the Market

This is by far, the best electric skillet on the market right now. I am a frequent user of the electric skillet and have been quite disappointed with the current selection of skillets available. However, I purchased the 16" Cucino Pro stainless skillet last year and loved it! I cook a lot and like a nice sear on meat and it is totally achievable with this skillet. I liked the 16" so much that I just ordered the 12" non-stick skillet to replace my current everyday workhorse electric skillet. I can't say enough about this brand and the even heat that it achieves. There are no cold or hot spots. Although expensive as skillets go, it is worth every cent.

This big round electric non-stick skillet is perfect for just about anything you want to put in it! I've made paella, pork chops, asian dishes of all kinds. Love the very low to very high heat and the fact that it changes almost immediately. I've had my skillet for months and this last one was a gift for someone who had admired it in my home. And I love that you can get the whole skillet wet....no worries about wrecking the electrical portion. I may have to get still another for my vacation home.
