Smart Oven lets you control the power with its
innovative Elements IQ technology. Turn it up or down
with the ease of a dimmer switch to distribute heat
evenly and cook to perfection. Simply adjust to taste
and this brilliant appliance delivers the right power at
the right time. Broil function activates top three
heating elements to the top only to melt and brown.
Toast function activates top two and bottom two heating
elements to seal and crisp. Bake function uses top two
and bottom two heating elements with the convection fan
turned on to ensure the item is cooked right through.
Product Features Distributes 1,800 watts of power
among five quartz elements where it's needed most.
Blue backlit LCD screen. Intuitive dial controls. 9
customizable presets. Stores settings in memory.
Smartly designed rack auto-ejects halfway when the oven
door is opened. Sturdy stainless-steel body has a top
that doubles as a warming tray. Retractable crumb tray
makes cleanup easy. Includes nonstick pizza pan,
baking pan and baking rack.

I received this as a gift. I cook for one and have found that this takes the place of my stove oven. It's just so handy to put in toast, or potatoes, or any small item to cook. The selection knob gives you the right power control and automatically chooses the temp and time. You can adjust to suit your needs. The timer goes off automatically when it's done. No need to sit and watch the oven. I've baked a pie, square cake, chicken, broiled a steak, brownies and small pizza in this with great results. The convection oven part does its work in half the time and I have yet to burn anything. The top of the stove heats the plates, but it's a little warm and can burn you if the plate is left on too long. I would recommend this toaster/convection oven to anyone looking for a long-lasting, easy to clean oven for an apartment or small cooking needs use.

So far so good. It looks nice on my counter - I was able to get rid of a small toaster oven and a separate bagel toaster - neither of which made decent toast. The Breville's toast is perfect!
Also love being able to cook frozen entrees in it whereas my old toaster oven did not recommend doing so in it. Looking forward to using Breville for many things!

Looks great on the counter - has really nice lines that coordinate well with our kitchen appliances. Makes fabulous toast! (and lots of it, when making breakfast for a group - 6 slices at a time is a Godsend) Broiling works wonderfully as well; baking too. There's nothing negative that I can say about this "smart oven." It is expensive compared to other toaster ovens on the market, but it you have the budget for it, it's worth it. I have high hopes for this oven lasting for years...and if it does, it will turn out to be a good value in spite of the price.

I don't have an standard oven in my small cottage and had purchased another table top brand which I did not particularily like due to uneven cooking and toasting. The Breville is a dream come true. I have tried most of the functions and it really lives up to the promotional information.

My better half and I really appreciate this toaster oven. It's even smarter than her about times and temperatures. Before we got this model we had gone through the litany of owning several other brands. At first we were skeptical about spending this amount money to have ANOTHER toaster oven that would end up on the junk pile. NOT THIS ONE! We started out using it heat up Trader Joe's frozen pizzas. We told the oven we were heating up a 6 inch frozen pizza. The instructions on the pizza box stated 400º and ten minutes. The oven said fifteen. Trader Joe's was correct. Ten minutes was the right number after the warm up timer said the oven was ready. So we graduated to other items, including baking a pie. Guess what? It worked and now, over a year later it is still working and it is a breeze to keep clean. Mark this down mentally. When your other toaster oven quits, buy this model. We also have a Kill A Watt system and this oven does not use the amount of kilowatts that ours used. Therefore it does save you energy, too. Well worth the money.

My wife and I use this stove every day and think it is great, There is nothing this product can't do for us. We really like the fact that the broil rack comes out far enought so you donot burn yourself when removing the food.

I looked for several months for the perfect toaster oven. I wanted an oven that I could use daily for dinners and for frequent cookie baking that would look nice in my kitchen, and not be too large to have on a countertop. It blends in with all of our other stainless steel appliances beautifully. I haven't had to use my regular ovens since I received this. I love every feature it offers and appreciated the bakeware that was included. I especially enjoy that the rack slides out when I open the door—it makes it very easy to remove the hot dishes. Very user friendly digital temperature settings, and the convection feature does a wonderful job on cooking evenly. Highly recommend this oven.

Although we have only had the oven for a couple of weeks, we really love it! It works as advertised. The pop out tray is super and the timer bell is even loud enough for my husband to hear.
It heats much faster than our previous oven, which we loved, and it is much more roomy and can accommodate a casserole dish. We also like the toast function which is what we used the other oven for but this one makes really good toast.
The handle on the door is also a very good feature.

I bought this a year ago. Everything works- BUT suddenly none of the heating elements work. Light and timer work- supposedly the preheat temp beeps ready- but the oven is cold. This is a lot of money for a toaster oven that only lasts 14 months

At last! A toaster oven that lives up to its name. It makes excellent toast and both the broiler and baking functions work as well as a regular oven. It preheats quickly and sounds when up to temperature. It is very useful when you are in a hurry to get the meal on the table. The option for using convection or not is a great feature. The controls are user friendly and the unit is easy to clean. It's everything that we have wanted in an appliance of this kind.

If you've always wanted a second oven, the Breville delivers. It's big enough to accommodate most of your desires. It looks nice on your counter and is easy to use with logical controls. I've had many toaster ovens, this is hands-down, by far, the best I've owned. It's pricey but worth it. I recommend it highly.

Great oven! Compact size with good enough interior space for baking for 4. It makes my mornings so much easier by preparing breakfast for my family. It's as simple as put it in, set it and forget it! I love this oven! Great investment!

I did some research before this purchase. I was replacing a Krups's brand (which served us well for about 6 years, but certainly had its limitations). I am so surprised that this really is like a mini oven! It even preheats. The display is VERY user-friendly. And...toast! You can fit 9 pieces on the roomy rack, and it toasts evenly and with only one cycle. I love the magnet which pulls the rack out 1/2 way when you open the door. I am completely satisfied! If I can get 6 years out of this one...well, that would be perfection!
Oh! Only one small design issue. The plug part of the power cord is quite long (4"?). I actually had to find another place on my counter for the oven, as it cannot sit in front of the power outlet.

We just remodeled our kitchen and wanted a new toaster oven. America's Test Kitchen had a review of toaster ovens and ranked the Smart Oven on top. Wow, what an oven! We have made pizza, baked dog treats and of course toast and everything turned out perfect. It truly is a toaster and an oven, even has a warming tray! It comes with several pans that fit perfectly. It is well worth the money.
