Breville Smart Oven, BOV800XL : The Breville Smart Oven lets you control the power with its innovative Elements IQ technology. Turn it up or down with the ease of a dimmer switch to distribute heat evenly and cook to perfection. Simply adjust to taste and this brilliant appliance delivers the right power at the right time. Broil function activates top three heating elements to the top only to melt and brown. Toast function activates top two and bottom two heating elements to seal and crisp. Bake function uses top two and bottom two heating elements with the convection fan turned on to ensure the item is cooked right through. Product Features Distributes 1,800 watts of power among five quartz elements where it's needed most. Blue backlit LCD screen. Intuitive dial controls. 9 customizable presets. Stores settings in memory. Smartly designed rack auto-ejects halfway when the oven door is opened. Sturdy stainless-steel body has a top that doubles as a warming tray. Retractable crumb tray makes cleanup easy. Includes 13" Dia. nonstick pizza pan, 12" Sq. baking pan and 12" Sq. stainless-steel baking rack.

This oven has surpassed my expectations. After going through many toasters and ovens, this is a keeper. Toast comes out perfect; roasts meats perfectly. Never thought I could do a pizza in a toaster oven, but I can now, and it turns out great. I am very happy we purchased this oven.

My husband and I have gone through too many toaster ovens to count. Some were great for toast and not much else. Some were great for everything else but toast! This product has really impressed us. We've only had it for a week, but in that time, we've used it toast (natch) raisin bread and english muffins, and it does a beautiful job! We've also cooked a frozen pizza in it using the pizza pan that comes with the oven. Cooked it magnificently. And tonight, I roasted a 4.5lb whole chicken in it. Fantastic! this is a great oven to have for the summer because it does the work of a regular oven in half the size and without the heat that a regular oven generates I love, love, LOVE this product!

I received this as a gift. I cook for one and have found that this takes the place of my stove oven. It's just so handy to put in toast, or potatoes, or any small item to cook. The selection knob gives you the right power control and automatically chooses the temp and time. You can adjust to suit your needs. The timer goes off automatically when it's done. No need to sit and watch the oven. I've baked a pie, square cake, chicken, broiled a steak, brownies and small pizza in this with great results. The convection oven part does its work in half the time and I have yet to burn anything. The top of the stove heats the plates, but it's a little warm and can burn you if the plate is left on too long. I would recommend this toaster/convection oven to anyone looking for a long-lasting, easy to clean oven for an apartment or small cooking needs use.

So far so good. It looks nice on my counter - I was able to get rid of a small toaster oven and a separate bagel toaster - neither of which made decent toast. The Breville's toast is perfect!
Also love being able to cook frozen entrees in it whereas my old toaster oven did not recommend doing so in it. Looking forward to using Breville for many things!

Looks great on the counter - has really nice lines that coordinate well with our kitchen appliances. Makes fabulous toast! (and lots of it, when making breakfast for a group - 6 slices at a time is a Godsend) Broiling works wonderfully as well; baking too. There's nothing negative that I can say about this "smart oven." It is expensive compared to other toaster ovens on the market, but it you have the budget for it, it's worth it. I have high hopes for this oven lasting for years...and if it does, it will turn out to be a good value in spite of the price.

I don't have an standard oven in my small cottage and had purchased another table top brand which I did not particularily like due to uneven cooking and toasting. The Breville is a dream come true. I have tried most of the functions and it really lives up to the promotional information.

My better half and I really appreciate this toaster oven. It's even smarter than her about times and temperatures. Before we got this model we had gone through the litany of owning several other brands. At first we were skeptical about spending this amount money to have ANOTHER toaster oven that would end up on the junk pile. NOT THIS ONE! We started out using it heat up Trader Joe's frozen pizzas. We told the oven we were heating up a 6 inch frozen pizza. The instructions on the pizza box stated 400º and ten minutes. The oven said fifteen. Trader Joe's was correct. Ten minutes was the right number after the warm up timer said the oven was ready. So we graduated to other items, including baking a pie. Guess what? It worked and now, over a year later it is still working and it is a breeze to keep clean. Mark this down mentally. When your other toaster oven quits, buy this model. We also have a Kill A Watt system and this oven does not use the amount of kilowatts that ours used. Therefore it does save you energy, too. Well worth the money.

My wife and I use this stove every day and think it is great, There is nothing this product can't do for us. We really like the fact that the broil rack comes out far enought so you donot burn yourself when removing the food.

I looked for several months for the perfect toaster oven. I wanted an oven that I could use daily for dinners and for frequent cookie baking that would look nice in my kitchen, and not be too large to have on a countertop. It blends in with all of our other stainless steel appliances beautifully. I haven't had to use my regular ovens since I received this. I love every feature it offers and appreciated the bakeware that was included. I especially enjoy that the rack slides out when I open the door—it makes it very easy to remove the hot dishes. Very user friendly digital temperature settings, and the convection feature does a wonderful job on cooking evenly. Highly recommend this oven.

This oven does it all, heats pizza great, bakes and reheats. I cook with propane and considered the functions this oven would do as a money saver on gas. Love the sleek look, big for the counter but took the place of the toaster as it toasts great! Highly recommend best Xmas present to myself.

This toaster oven is fabulous....It actually toasts both sides without having to turn the bread over. Also when whatever function you're using is finished, the tray comes out when you open the door so no more need for those gloves that go up to your elbow! And I love the many selections to choose from. It's the best!

I have tried many brands of toaster ovens over the years. The Breville Smart Oven is absolutely the BEST on the market! From a tray of brownies, to a few cookies or an extra pie at Thanksgiving, The consistant temperature handles them all as easily as toast in the morning! What a treat not to have to heat up the kitchen with the full oven every time we want a quick snack. What a convenience to have the rack slide out for you when you open the door! The pull out crumb tray cleans with ease......and the controls are easy to understand and use. Convection at the push of a button....your choice....with or without.
Thank you Breville for making my life so much easier!! I will never purchase any other brand of toaster oven again!

Our old toaster oven was 8 years old and finnaly bit the dust. After viewing many others, I was impressed with the good reviews of the Breville and the looks of it. I've had it now for almost 2 weeks and I LOVE IT! Bagels and toast come out beautifully! Breads, cakes, roasts,steaks and chicken are done to perfection! I haven't used my regular oven since we recieved it and I may never again! (except for very large items).

I no longer own a toaster. My new Breville seems to do it all. My husband loves its toast feature, I love its size (it holds most of my casseroles) and looks super. It does whatever I select in less time than directions call for and to perfection. I love it.

This Breville Oven is worth all $249 that I paid.
I don't need to heat up my oven and the whole kitchen because this compact oven does it all. I cook whole
roasts (8 lb. Rib-Eye Roast) and chickens. The convection really cuts down the time to get meals on the table. LOVE IT!!
