I have only used this once, but love it already. I thought they must be exaggerating when they said ithe cookies would cook in 20 seconds, but they really do. I was a little concerned at first that it didn't have a temperature control knob, but learned very rapidly that it wasn't a problem. You just cook the pizzelle a little longer or a little less to achieve the color you want. One adjustment I made was in the recipe that I used from the book that came with it. I added at least another teaspoon of anise because it didn't seem to have a strong enough flavor. I would highly recommend this unit. Can't wait to try it this weekend making cannoli shells.

This is actually the second one I have purchased. I purchased one for my daughter as a Christmas present. I tried it out on a recent visit and was so impressed that I purchased one for myself. I simply oiled the maker with a paper towel before using it. I have not had one problem with sticking. It is so easy to use and I am sorry I didn't purchase one sooner. It's great to be Italian!!

I have been making pizzelle's (Italian cookie) for several years, over 15, on a press that would make 4 at a time. I have never been able to make a full batch without a spill over and major clean up when finished. I have now made 2 batches for this holiday season. No mess and no burnt cookies! This is by far the BEST purchase of this nature I have ever made. I am very glad that I purchased 2 as one is now a gift for our daughter!

When I first started making these, I felt like I was all thumbs. Once I got into a rythym, it was very easy and each batch was uniform color. I was extremely pleased with my pizzelles and my pizzelle iron.

I have been serching for a pizzelle maker for years and purching the one that you sell was worth the wait. The usage is easy and I am now going to make them as gifts for people who are sick and also as a bring along to my next function invitation that I go to. I also will try to make the cannollis . I just saw the price in our bakery and they sold for $2.50 apiece and that is the best incentive that I know of to make them for future parties. Thank you .

I love my new pizzelle maker. Used it for the first time and cannot get over how quick they bake. Everyone raved about them. The quality of this pizzelle maker is wonderful. It is very sturdy and cleans up easily. I did a lot of research on pizzelle makers and am very happy I chose the Chef's Choice.

The pizzelle maker I bought has all the features I need to make great pizzelles. The batter doesn't stick, the handle locks itself, and the cookies are done in record time. Due to the iron having 900 watts, the cookies are done in 15 seconds and have even color. The directions for using the iron which come with it, are easy to follow and are accurate. The finished cookie has a beautiful design and is delicious.

Very pleased with this product. Looked at many different pizzelle makers before selecting this one.
Many of them seemed like they wouldn't hold up through the first use. This one is well made and the pizzelle's came out perfect the first time.

Makes excellent pizzelles - I added extra anise to the receipe and also added some vanilla. Machine warms up fast and makes excellent pizzelles in about 20 seconds. Very satisfied with my new machine.

I am very pleased with this product and the great service of CHEFs. It arrived within a week of ordering. I just finished my first adventure making pizzelles in order to carry on a family tradition. This pizzelle iron is awesome and I don't have a single negative comment. I read all the helpful reviews on this site, as well as on other sites, and am happy that I chose this model. It operated as promised, very fast (about 22 sec.) with not a speck sticking to the surfaces. A quick wipe was all that was required to clean up. Amazing. The handle lock is very effective and easy to release. This is a real plus. I followed my husband's grandmother's recipe with pure anise oil that I had to order online. As I was zipping them out as fast as I could handle them, I tried to imagine her cooking pizzelles with a stove iron one at a time. What a labor of Christmas love! (By the way there was a manual and recipes -one reviewer said it wasn't included.)

I found the chef's pizzelle maker to be a great purchse.
I have purchased and still own Villa Ware Pizzelle irons. When I could not locate a Villa Ware I looked for another brand that would compare to the ones I have. This iron from Chef's is really amazing. I used the receipe that came with the iron and they turned out perfect. I was really impressed with the fact that they will cook in 20 seconds as all the other irons I have owned required at least 60 second cooking time. I am very pleased with my purchase and have recommended it to my friends. I think the price is very reasonable.

I love pizelles. This was my first pizzelle maker. It worked wonderfully. The nonstick surface is great and instructions had good recipes.

This pizelle maker was very easy to use and made the pizelles in seconds but my pizelles stayed a little soggy after removing them from the griddle. It wasn't clear from the recipe provided or the baking procedure section in the manual what one should do with the pizelle after removing it from the griddle.
I put them on a plate and then waited for them to harden, which they did somewhat , but not to the level I would have liked. The pizelle maker was a breeze to use and so easy to clean, but I do still have that one issue with the cookies remainig soggy, damp. Not sure what I did wrong.

This pizzelle maker is very hard to use. I started with the recipe in the book that came with it and quit after one dozen. They either didn't brown or got to brown and would not crisp up. Ithrew out the batter and made the one I used with my old pizzelle maker. Not much better. Cooded the cookies, when cool I had to put them back in to even come close to having them harden. Will be looking for another one next year.

Overall I am very pleased with my pizzelle maker. Very easy to use, never sticks, and clean up is a snap. There is no "recovery" time as it is ready to go as fast as you are. The cooking is even and fast, never over 30 seconds for two cookies. You will have to find your own preferences for thickness, color and size. It takes only a couple of minutes to figure out. If I was to add anything to the unit it would be a timer to buzz after the chosen number of seconds is reached. Again, very pleased, would buy it again, and I recommend it with complete confidence.
TIP: Put the batter slightly to the back of center when making each set of cookies.
