utility set is a kitchen essential. Gourmet Kitchen
Shears and Paring Knife are made in Germany by Wusthof.
Each has been exacted to the finest standards of
craftsmanship. Shears quarter chicken, portion meat to
grill or freeze, cut through vegetables and snip fresh
herbs without straining your hands. Zip cleanly through
parchment paper. Open stiff plastic packaging, too.
Handles pull apart for thorough sanitization and for
resharpening of blades, then lock back into place. Open
stubbon jar lids and bottle caps using the adjustable
gripper teeth below the handle. 3" paring knife is
precision-stamped of high-carbon stainless-steel. Blade
is laser-tested for the perfect edge and optimum
sharpness. Pointed blade works great for peeling
vegetables and for small cutting tasks. Handle is
double-riveted for lasting strength and performance.

This is the first heavy-duty set of kitchen shears I have ever had and I wonder how I ever got along with out them.
I always have dreaded cutting a whole chicken up for frying. These shears did it easily.

The Kitchen Shears makes food preparation easy. Cutting through meat and bone is effortless. Cutting through vegetables and salad items is a snap. The 3-inch paring knife is just the right size for cutting up bell peppers, carrots, etc.

Generally, I like Wusthoff products and find the quality above average. This set is a bit of a mixed bag. The shears are excellent, as expected. However, the bonus knife is really lightweight and not the quality I would expect. I understand that it is a freebie, but it's a shame to see such mediocre quality.

The scissors in this set were exactly what I was looking for. They're quality built, just the right size, cut vegetables & chicken with no trouble, and they come apart for easy and thorough cleaning. I'm very pleased with them. The paring knife was like an added bonus.

I should have known by the price that these items wouldn't be as good as my other Wusthof knives. It appears that this is the lower end of their line - meaning the quality is far inferior to some of the other Wusthof lines. Buyer beware - just because you are buying the name, don't assume you are getting the same quality at a lower price.

The paring knife was a nice addition to my set. Peels apples with one motion, and the handle & balance was very nice. The shears I have yet to have a solid use of but am sure the quality is just as good as wusthof delivers.

I have Wusthof Trident knives that are over 10 years old. I had to replace my shears because I lost my original. For the same price as the shears alone, it came in a two piece set with a paring knife. The Paring knife is in no way the quality of my original knives. Perhaps they have had to cuit back on quality due to cost? I'm glad I have my original set.

The knife is rather cheap with a W sticker on a plastic handle. I am thinking this is not made in Germany since the package and the set in no way show that it is. I think it may have been produced in China. The scissors are fine kitchen scissors. What I like about them is the way they unlock for easy cleaning. They are sharp enough and seem fine for the money. I was expecting Wusthof quality and a bit more from the brand.

This is exactly what I wanted. The shears are strong, sharp & come apart for cleaning. They cut through a whole chicken with very little effort. The knife is nicer than I expected-more solid than the light weight ones you'd get my the cash register at an orchard. It has a well balanced handle & the blade feels like it will keep an edge and allow some sharpening. Not the highest quality of this line, but a fabulous value for the price. I plan to use these every day.

The shears are great to cut up a whole chicken. The paring knife fits my hand perfectly but not quite the quality of my original Wustof 4" paring knife. It is a good quality for the price.

First used on 2 chickens, and was so impressed by the swiftness of my work, the perfect cuts, how easy the task was on my hand, and that there was no slipping. These make the work so much easier and quicker in jobs I've done previously with just a knife. Wish I had purchased them long ago! They also easily break-down for thorough cleaning.
