Love the product. Grinds meat easily and quickly. Initially I purchased a plastic kitchenaid grinder, didnt like it because of a yucky residue that it produced with meat. Returned it and instead got this priduct. Very satisfied. No mettalic residue coming out of it. This food grinder is lightweight.

This is a very well made grinder. All metal construction except for the bushings which are self-lubricating nylon. Grinds meat very well, and quickly. Two extrusion plates are provided for fine and course grind. Be aware, this is a hand-wash tool. The cutting blades and extrusion plates are high-carbon steel. If you put them in your dishwasher they will be rusted to the point of ruin. The product literature clearly states that this tool must be hand-washed with mild detergent then immediately dried. I use compressed air "dust remover" to get the water out of the holes in the extrusion plates. The steel parts should then be lightly coated with food-grade oil. This takes less then five minutes. If you take proper care off this machine it should last a lifetime or longer.

Works great... you must make sure the meat is semi-frozen and the pieces are small enough for the auger to feed meat into the blade.

This meat grinder is made in Hungary and everything about it screams "Fine Metalwork". The housing is cast AND machined aluminum! The faceplate and blade are high-carbon steel, and the feed screw is stainless steel so beautifully precise that it looks like it came out of a jet turbine. The result is a very quick, crisp, clean, and efficient grind with almost no heat buildup and perfect fat distribution throughout . Two things they know in Hungary are ground meat and metalwork, and they both come together in this lovely piece of heirloom equipment. For the true Gourmet!

Worked very well grinding sausage. I can control the amount of fat and spices. It fit my KitchenAid Stand Mixer perfectly. I can't wait to try it grinding hamburger.

The meat grinder is easy to use and attach to our Kitchenaid stand mixer. We had absoulutely no problems grinding the meat.
I wish though it was suggested to also purchase the sausage stuffer attachment.

This product is excellent! I believe it is made in Hungary, Europe. Very well made and durable. I've used it to make wild hog ground meat and it works like a Swiss watch. If you go for any other version you' ll be cutting yourself short.

I had the plastic kitchenaid grinder but was unhappy with it, as it had a small hopper and frequently hungup when grinding meat. This metal grinder has an adequate hopper and is much better at grinding. I'm very pleased

The meat grinder works excellent! It is very useful in my kitchen. I can grind many kinds of meat and get good result in each case. It is small and light and very easy to stock in my kitchen. It is made of hard aluminum and stainless steel with very good quality. It is definitely worth the price I paid.

When it seems most manufacturers are more concerned about profit, than a quality product, I was impressed with how solidly built this product was. It did everything i asked it to with zero effort, breakdown, cleaning and reassembly was a snap. I will never buy store ground meat again! Buy this product.

I learned about the Chefschoice grinder attachment for KitchenAid mixers through some internet research trying to find a higher quality product. I am pleased with this grinder. The higher quality of this product is worth the extra price. I join the majority of other reviewers who gave this product a "thumbs up"

The construction on this meat grinder is solid. All the parts feel like top quality metal, excluding the plastic pusher. The pusher by the way works great. The cubes of meat that I used came out perfectly without any problems and the consistency is there. Unlike the plastic KitchenAid attachment that a lot of people have complained about, you'll probably never have to buy another grinder after putting money down on this. I know its somewhat pricey but its well worth it as it will last a long time. My only recommendation is to make sure after washing the parts, to brush it with some oil so that rust doesn't develop while its stored. It is metal after all. This will save you time when you're ready to use it again.

Excited to use my new grinder, I placed parts in top rack of dishwasher. Grinding wheels and internal parts rusted before first use. Disappointing for such an expensive attachment.

So far so good. No issues. Dried fruit ground down well with a little pressure. Have bottle brushes and accessories to clean up parts when washing. It worked on the most sticky and dense products.
