I purchased this drawer knife block for a new butcher block cart I had custom built for my kitchen. I wanted the knives off the counter where they took up coveted work space. They are now stored in the drawer of my new cart and are always at my fingertips. They take up very little space and hold alot of knives. Like everything I order from Chef''s Catalog this product is beautiful, functional and durable.

Prior to getting this knife drawer block, the knives constantly were moved out of the old block by simply opening and closing the drawer too fast. Now, the knives stay where you put them. I am extremely pleased with this product.

I used this drawer knife block and the smaller style in my previous home. After I moved to my new home I didn't have enough drawers to fit either. I am remodeling and the first item needed in my new kitchen is the drawer knife block. I like the way it fits in a drawer and no block on the counter.

I purchased both the 14 slot and 7 slot knife block and they fit into my drawer perfectly. I love that I do not have to have a chunky knife block on my counter taking up space. This drawer block was exactly what I was looking for!

I like this in-drawer knife block because it does exactly what I wanted it to do. It gets the clutter out of the drawer and protects the knife blades that I recently had sharpened. Also, it is in the drawer, out of the way and not cluttering up the counter top as the upright knife blocks do.

Although this is an excellent product, sturdy and organizes your best knives... the size is not as advertised. Catalog says it is 8 1/2 inches wide. When it arrived I found that the packaging said it was 9 inches wide and unfortunately would not fit in my drawer as planned. That is the only reason for the low rating. The customer service at Chef's was extremely helpful and made a wrong, right.

I have the 14 and the 7 slot knife blocks. The two together fit my drawer perfectly. No more knives laying around in cardboard sleeves, and no block on the counter top taking up space. The slots for knives are staggered, larger (longer) knives fit in the bottom and the smaller (shorter) knives on top.The 14 slot holder will hold 6 large and 8 small knives and even has a slot for a steel. The 7 slot holder will hold 3 large and 4 small knives. The quality is good, not flimsy, I expect this to be in my drawer forever.
