I love waffles, but my waffle iron was not making them the way I wanted. When Cooks magazine recommended this one, I couldn't resist. Right from the beginning, I was getting the waffles as I like them. The descriptions are clear, it performs as advertised, and it take up very little room in storage. I have finally found the waffle iron of my dreams!
Pros: Cord length, Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, Fast/ Speed, easy to use, construction, size, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, easy to store, Functional/Useful, Weight, capacity, now it's mine!

I've never owned a waffle maker before. After reading the reviews I decided to try this one. I am so glad I did. It's easy to use and makes the best waffles I've ever had. My son loves them. I just mix up the batter (great recipes included) and leave it in the fridge for the morning and I've got fresh waffles in 90 sec. after it heats up! It's easy to clean too!

This is a wonderful product. An audible beep lets
you know the waffle iron is preheated. All adjustments are easy to make and the waffles all evenly cooked. An audible sound lets you know when they are ready . The cord stores easily and the unit can be stored standing on end, taking little space. It is the only waffle iron I have used that is truly nonstick.

I bought this as a gift for my Daughter who wanted a conventional waffle iron - not one that made Belgium waffles. I even called the sales person to make sure that it was a conventional waffle iron. It was not. I returned it immediately. The catalog also showed a Belgium Waffle Iron 830. Perhaps they sent the wrong one.

Absolutely loved the waffles that this made. The best of many waffle makers I have had.
But after less than two years the electronics stopped working. I am single so this did not get heavy use. Very light use would be correct. So to have it fail in such a short time is just wrong.
At my use level this should have lastest very, very much longer.

Although I was trying to purchase a regular waffle maker and the write up for this item did not say it was a Belgium Waffle Maker. I guess it to be about average as a Belgium waffle maker. Not what I thought I was buying.

Poor quality and performance

The first one of these I ordered was defective; the dial adjustment did not work at all. Its replacement worked but did a poor job of making waffles. On the "uniform texture" setting, waffles were on the soggy side. On the "crisp exeterior" setting, they weren't crisp unless I set the dial to the hottest setting, and even then they went limp after a minute or so. Chef's should consider replacing the manufacturer of this product with someone who can create a waffle maker that lives up to its advertising. Otherwise, they should drop this product completely.

Chef's Choice WafflePro 830

I have had two of the Chef's Choice WafflePro 830. The first one my son gave me for Christmas. It only lasted a couple years and quit. I bough another one about a year ago and last night it made one waffle and half way through the second waffle the lights stopped glowing and the ready sound stopped. I do not make nearly as many waffles now that it is just my husband and myself at home. So this Waffle Pro has had very little use. To have two in a row go bad is very disappointing. My waffle irons use to last so long the only reason I would get a new one is because they start looking so bad. I will not buy another Chef's Choice product, as I have also had a hot water kettle fail as well.
