This is a great product. Perfect size for French Onion Soup, chili, or any other soup. Nice to have the lids too so you can serve up the soup ahead of time and it will stay hot at the table. Glazed top edge also keeps cheese from sticking when it is time to wash.

These were for a gift for my son who loves to cook. Recently, he made French Onion Soup, but had to broil the cheese onto the toasted bread, then top the soup with it. These crocks will be perfect for the next time !! They are 15 oz capacity which is the largest I've found. Love the handles and smooth finish.

I ordered these for my boyfriend for Christmas after he mentioned how much he wanted real old fashioned french onion soup crocks. They are well made,attractive, and large enough to hold a very good size bowl of soup. I love the handles, also. I am sure my boyfriend will love these, and I get to enjoy a delicious bowl of french onion soup (my favorite) with the dripping cheese. Yum! (He's an awesome cook!).

I have been looking for these crocks for quite a while. Most were expensive, or didn't have the handles I wanted. I was so glad to find these at a very reasonable price and with the handles and lids included. I ordered two sets. They came promptly and in excellant condition. Nothing was broken. I made my first ever French Onion Soup using these and my husband declared it was a success. I plan to use them also for stews and chili. They are cute little bowls and with the lids on perfect for keeping a serving of soup/chili warm. The kids especially feel special eating out of these.

The crocks are great. Very large capacity. I was able to serve my french onion soup right from the oven to table. I ordered eight, for a dinner party of eight, and one shipped with a broken handle. I recommend ordering at least one extra set to make sure you have enough.

I love these bowls! I use them all the time, and not just for french onion soup. I've used them for other soups and even for individual mashed potatoes topped with broiled cheese. I highly recommend these bowls. Great shipping too!

Just what I expected and was looking for....made chili w/ cornbread baked on top the first night we got them, was a big hit :-) only thing I found odd was that there was no dishwasher/oven/micro safe stamp on the crocks themselves or on the boxes they came in, had to look again at the description online to make sure.

I have a great rcipe for onion soup and really needed these classic crocks to serve it in. I still haven't mastered melting the cheese and French bread to have it look like a restaurant.

One arrived broken but CHEFS immediately sent a replacement. I would like to know if it is broiler safe--haven't checked that function. Esthetically pleasing and traditionsl styling.
