My favorite knife March 16, 2010
CBWiggins from Boulder CO

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, balanced, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to store, easy to use, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, Non-slip handle, Performs Well, quality, size, Value for Money, Warranty, Weight

"I found this knife reviewed by chefs in two different cooking magazines as their "favorite chef knife". As the owner of a cooking school I tried it out and have been impressed at how sharp the blade stays - far superior to more expensive knives I have purchased. It is also light weight and has a very comfortable handle which makes a huge difference when doing a lot of chopping. This is the only chef knife I use at my school now. I recently bought 2 more to give as gifts for my sons in college. I think they will love it!"

Excellent knife for the price August 14, 2009
margesimpson from Michigan

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, balanced, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful, Material, multi-purpose, Non-slip handle, Performs Well, quality, size, Value for Money, Weight
Cons: none

"I chose this knife because I needed a step up from the Chicago Cutlery type and didn't want to pay big bucks for a Wusthof. I wasn't disappointed - it slices through meat and vegetables like butter, virtually effortlessly. Since this knife arrived in my kitchen, I rarely use anything else. It seems very well constructed, and the non-slip handle feels extremely comfortable to use. I own the 6" version - it is just the right size and weight for my small hands, and is much easier to control than the 8" chef's knife I was using previously."

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, balanced, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful, Material, Non-slip handle, Performs Well, quality, size, Value for Money, Weight

"My sister sent me the 6" version of this knife for Christmas. She purchased it from Chefs. I liked it so much that I ordered the 8" Victorinox from Chefs. These knives are razor sharp, ,they are well balanced and very comfortable in my hand. The 8" was rated by Cook's Illustrated magazine as the "best inexpensive chef's knife." I trust Cook's Illustrated and Chefs. I am certain I will enjoy these knives for years. Thank you, Chefs, for carrying such high quality products."

Great knife at any price January 18, 2010
CookinNLouisiana from Louisiana

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, balanced, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, Non-slip handle, Performs Well, quality, size, Value for Money, Warranty, Weight, holds edge well, does not stain

"I'ved used this knife for over 25 years. I don't think there is a better value out there. I know many chefs and butchers that use them. It is very ergonomic. It cleans easily. It will shave hair when you buy it! It is fairly easy to sharpen, but holds an edge well. You can touch this blade up with a good steel and keep on going. It is a versitlie size and shape blade. I use it for a lot more than just chopping veggies. It's deep enough that it makes it easy to help scoop up what you chopped to move to the pan."

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, balanced, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, Material, multi-purpose, Non-slip handle, Performs Well, quality, size, Value for Money, Weight

"I've been using this knife for about a year now and have to say it's fantastic. And for the price you can't lose. It comes out of the package razor sharp and holds it's edge better than many knives costing three times as much. I liked mine so much I bought one for my brother, and he can't stop raving about it either."

"A friend recommended this knife to me, and considering the fact that he is a chef, I took his advice. The price was right, and I have never been so pleased with a knife! As soon as it arrived, I opened the box, washed it, and promptly cut up an onion. I love it. I have since bought an 8" chef's knife as well as a few other Forschner knives. I will not buy any other brand."

Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Non-slip handle, Performs Well, Value for Money

"I bought this knife after it was recommended by America's Test Kitchens, and it is all it was promised to be. OdiesMommie from Aiken SC

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, balanced, construction, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Ergonomic handle, Functional/Useful, multi-purpose, Non-slip handle, Performs Well, quality, size, Value for Money
Cons: wish it came with a sheath

"In shopping for a gift for my Mother and sister, I saw this knife. Mom and sis have some range-of-movement problems and I found a smaller blade knife for them. I purchased their knives and decided I'd look around for a larger blade chef's knife for me. I bought the 8" blade. It is PERFECT! This is an extra sharp knife and glides through surface cutting areas easily. I'm SO glad I bought this knife. I'm working on a set of these now. My old set of knives, while still good, are getting a bit worn. I was due a new set after 25 years of the other set. Nothing but pleased with these knives! And all three were on sale! Thank you!"

"I bought the 8" model. Good balance, and is easy to keep sharp with a sharpening steel. I bought it because of brand name recognition, it lives up to its name."
