Wusthof Classic Nakiri, 7-in. : The Nakiri

and meats with record speed and unprecedented precision.
Unlike any other blade on the market, the edge is angled

triple rivets attach the high-impact handle securely to
the full tang for superior balance and maneuverability.

for stir-frying and fajitas and quickly trims uniform
chunks for stews and soups. Precision-forged blade from

I received the Nakiri as a Christmas gift, Very sharp out of the box. Now having used it for several days I believe it is becoming my go to for slicing and chopping almost anything. I've used it on both vegetables and boneless meats. I've sliced steaks from bulk rib eye lip rolls and trimmed packer cut briskets and the edge has held up really well to the use. I really rate it at 4 1/2 stars. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that unlike a traditional Japanese nakiri where the blade edge is chisel cut (ground from only one side and considered better for slicing/shaving materials), this Wusthof version has a bevel cut edge (ground from both sides) and requires a special angle sharpener and extra care with a steel to maintain its edge.
Pros: balanced, construction, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Forged, Full tang, Functional/Useful, multi-purpose, Performs Well, quality
Cons: beveled edge not chisel cut

I have been a WUSTHOF consumer for many years and have a great collection of their knives, but this KNIFE will replace some of those due to the number of functions it performs. I LOVE this KNIFE!!! Slices meats and vegetables with precision. Very comfortable in your hand.

We bought this knife knowing that Wusthof Classic knives work very well and last. We were using a Wusthof Classic Santoku for just about everything, but it wasn't always optimal for all tasks. We bought the Nakiri for chopping veggies and meats and it hasn't disappointed. It's super sharp and has a great balance. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a utility knife like this.
When I'm in the Kitchen, I become: Self-proclaimed Gourmet
I own a complete set of classic Wusthof knives. This addition is fantastic, cuts through vegetables perfectly with the thickness you want, fast becoming my favorite blade in my collection.
This knife is light in weight, very easy to handle, holds a good edge. I would recommend this product.
Pros: easy to use, Performs Well, quality

The handle isn't heavy enough to properly balance the blade. The blade itself is disconcertinbly thin and flexible, The model with grantons might be heaver and better balanced.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Performs Well, quality
Cons: Unbalanced, Uncomfortable
