We have used our compost bucket for years. These filters are worth their weight in gold, upon opening the lid to add more garbage you don't get any odor. The charcoal takes care of it all.

I bought the Counter Composter several years ago for my Mom & I can't say enough how wonderful these filters are. She keeps hers under the sink due to space issues & she initially tried not using the filter but the stink convinced her that was not an option...lol. The last as advertised & are worth every penny!

Easy to install into composter lid. I would prefer to see it come in a resealable bag being as they come two sets to a pack.

The compost pail that I purchased works wonderfully but was in need of new filters for it. Purchased them and they work just as well as the original. One of the best investments for my family.

When used with the compost bucket, these filters make it very easy to collect vegetable and fruit scraps under the sink. They can then be taken out to the comppost pile every few days. There is no odor and very little mess.
Your family may have to be trained, as mine was, to fill the bucket only up to halfway, so the scraps don't make a mess of the filter. When that happens, it's easy enough to wash them out.

Typically we create a cloud of busy fruit flies near our compost collection container in the kitchen. So far, the filter has eliminated the irritation of swarming insects, even when the composting container contains rotting fruit.
