I bought this as a gift for my mother and she loves it. She was just raving about how easily it cuts up a cabbage. The beveled edges allow it to cut through winter squash and other tougher vegetables.

This is a great all around knife!
Well balanced and extremely sharp, it can be used to chop vegetables, meat or herbs.
The wide blade helps maintain control when making thin cuts like chicken or veal cutlets.
I've long had expensive knives, but this one has fast become my favorite
This knife does everything with easy. I have used it to cut vegetables and fruits. The slicing of vegetables is the only knife I have ever own that did it so easy..

This knife has excellent balance, and the wooden handle is perfectly shaped to fit in the hand, either left-handed or right. The thin blade and the "grooves" make this a perfect knife for slicing cheese without it sticking to the blade. I have used it for meats, vegetables, and cheese and have adopted this knife as my "at hand" knife.
Pros: Full tang, Easy to Clean/Wash, balanced, Value for Money, Riveted, Warranty, easy to use, multi-purpose, construction, size, Appearance/ Design /Style, Ergonomic handle, Forged, Weight

New Favorite Knife

My husband and I have many knives we love, but this has become our newest favorite since purchasing it a few weeks ago. The handle is easy to grip for both of us (he has big hands, I have small) which is sometimes an issue with knives we both use. I love the light weight of the Nakiri and the fact that it chops vegetables and meat thinly with ease. Last night I made Chinese cuisine so had lots of chopping to do and used the Nakiri for most of my preparation, even peeling and chopping ginger. It is so versatile and, for the price, you can't beat it.
