I have had so much fun trying out the recipies in the rice cooker booklet. This cooker does so much. I love that it's programable. Steel cut oats, wild rice , all come out great!

This is our 3rd rice cooker, and the previous 2 were fair at best. This one has exceeded all of our expectations in every way! Using it is essentially a "no brainer" as the menu and guide tell you what to expect and when to expect it. And we have used it for a variety of things, beside rice cooking, such as sauce making, vegetable steaming, etc.

A rice cooker was recommended by a friend as I use so much, from Uncle Ben's to wild. After researching I chose this product due to its versatility. I love that it does risotto thus saving me from endless stirring. Then too it is a steamer and slow cooker as well. What more could a cook ask for.

I lived in Japan for two years and ate rice everyday. When I moved back to America, I had a very difficult time finding authentic, well-cooked, short grain rice. This rice cooker does a fantastic job of it. Fluffy and somewhat sticky sushi rice every time. The best function of the machine is that you can program it so that you'll have perfect rice waiting for you right when you wake up. Very good price as well.

This unit takes up a lot of counter space. The clock feature has to get reset each time you plug in. The time is the only thing shown on the display, not your program. If you own a slow cooker you don't need this.

I have owned various rice cookers over the last 50 years. This is absolutely the best rice cooker I have ever owned. Cooks every grain to perfection. Rice is toothsome, separate grained, steamed perfectly. I've tried the risotto setting and that came out wonderfully also. Doesn't take any skill to use. Just push the buttons and walk away. It also has a steamer for vegetables which I can't wait to try and you can slow cook stews in it too! I've gotten away from buying one purpose items and have given away my two rice cookers, my slow cooker and my steamer. Freed up a lot of space in my cabinets just having this one pot to do everything those other 4 did. Even has a handle to carry it around with. I expect Cuisinart to give me quality items every time and they haven't failed me yet! This is an excellent buy and I highly recommend it!

What is it with this cooker? It does great white rice, as long as you rinse the rice well. It does great oatmeal. It keeps things warm for 24 hours. But it does not do a good job on brown rice. It dries and browns the bottom to a crust. Now I'm going to have to try to find a troubleshooting number. Grrr.

While I like the design and carrying handle of this rice cooker, it seems to cook rice and steam slower than we'd like. Much slower than our old rice cooker and slower steaming than if I used a pan on the stove. We have only used it twice, but confirmed that we followed the directions. The jury is still out ...

I love this product all I have to do is measure, place water to appropriate line, season, set it and forget it. Everything comes out perfectly and is easy to clean up. This was a perfect investment. I bought one for my friend.

I was looking for a cooker that could also steam veggies. Unfortunately, the pan that you can use for veggies is way too small to cook a head of cauliflower or two bunches of broccoli.
btw, I do have a smaller Cuisinart rice cooker that I have used
for years -- love it!

I used my last rice cooker for 28 years. I was skeptical on getting a new one, but this is a great value. I didn't realize the new machines did so many things other than just steam rice.

I purchased this product for my wife. She is oriental and good quality rice is very important part of her culture. We will go thru at least a 20lb of rice a month. She is also a fan of rice with barley, rice with black beans, rice with fresh peas, and brown rice. She is the one who normally selects the rice cookers. The one we had has been with us over 15 yrs and still works. But it only makes rice. I was researching rice cookers and came across this product. I liked what it did, and I do about 80% of the cooking. I took a chance since the price was in the range I was seeking. My wife was skeptical. The first thing she did was made brown rice. It came out perfect! She loves it. The next test is how long it will continue to function like this.

The only thing I have found worng with this unit is the running clock loses time.
We have use this so many time in the past two weeks since we received it even my wife, who does not cook has started useing the cooker. We are very happy with this purchase.

This multi cooker is a great product. Not only cooks different kinds of rice, but can be used as a slow cooker and can be programmed to finish at a specified time w/o attending at the start time. Also like the keep warm feature for up to 24 hrs. Great Cuisinart product.

I love the ease of this but still working out the kinks when using different rices. Even with specific settings for various kinds of rice, some have turned out perfectly, while others slightly over cooked. The convenience of it though, is fantastic. I can get it all set up, run to the grocery store, come home and make a stir fry in 15 minutes and my rice is ready and waiting!
