Very good grinder. I have a Bunn coffee maker so the course grind is important. This unit is fast, on the quiet side, and has a small footprint.

I am really happy with this grinder. It grinds even, quickly and quietly and I really like the timer, I can just turn the timer on and walk away. There is a definite and easily noticed, improved difference in the flavor and strength of the brewed coffee. Easy to clean with a brush.

Our best grinder ever!

After much frustration and repeated replacements of our coffee grinders, we have discovered this unit. This one is much quieter, lacks the static and perfectly grinds our coffee with no mess. It is also the simplest to use, just load beans in the top hamper, twist the dial for the amount of cups needed, and voila, pull the lower cup with perfectly gound coffee. It has a very simple way of selecting the grade of grind, very fine to coarse, just by rotating the top hamper and matching the mark with the one on the base. The cost was also reasonable for a conical grinder, just $88. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this unit to anyone! Enjoy!!
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, Easy to change/Empty filter, Fast/ Speed, easy to use, True to Color, Low noise, construction, size, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, easy to store, Functional/Useful, Weight, capacity, no static less mess

Good, reasonably priced, burr grinder for my drip coffee maker. Lose your blade grinder and you'll notice the difference.

I wanted a decent coffee grinder for a vacation home. Because of its positive reviews, and also my good experience with a Capresso electric kettle, I chose this burr grinder. I have just used it a few times, but it is quieter than my "home" burr grinder and much less messy to use. The grinding range is much greater also, as I had to use the coarsest of my home grinder's 14 settings and the grind was still too fine for my Chemex coffee maker. With this Capresso grinder I have selected the finest setting of the "Fine" range, just as I would if grinding at the Co-op, and the results are perfect. I'm considering replacing my home grinder with a second Capresso burr grinder from Chefs.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: coffee

Well Designed, Quiet, Quality Grinder

After much research, I chose this burr grinder, fully aware of the comments of many people. When I received the package, I cautiously opened the packaging and the only trick was to gently PUSH where it says, to move a small panel of styrofoam protecting the coffee receptacle--no big deal. What I found was a sturdy, well designed, quiet grinder and I absolutely love it. The ground coffee static problem many people mentioned is very easily solved by wiping a very tiny bit of StaticGard on the OUTSIDE of the receptacle. Initially it did not seem to help, but now there is never any static to cause coffee to fly everywhere. The sturdiness of the grinder hints that this grinder will last a long time. Cleaning is easy and not necessary every time. I recommend this product!

We love this grinder. It is compact, and much more quiet when it is grinding beans. The container is enclosed, which makes for a cleaner counter as well. Merry Christmas to us!

had this model years ago - it began to slow down so I bought a Breville grinder - it died afte 2.5 years (I'm fine with that, I grind a lot). Pulled out the old Capresso & still worked. Breville stopped making their model - bought another Capresso & very happy.
Only downside - they cheapened the housing, but it works just as well and quieter too.

We love the grinder. We are "serious" coffee drinkers, not easily satisfied with both the coffee and the quality of the grind which is so important to a good cup of coffee! This grinder is commercial in quality, which suits us, looks nice on our counter top (matching our coffee maker), easy to operate and dependable product each time. The Chef's personnel as always were wonderful in their helping us make our choice. We are more than satisfied

This is a great product. Would never go back to the blade (food processor style). Grinds evenly, coffee is much smoother. huis unit was a great price as well. Only complaint is that the xtra $10 for "stainless steel" which turned out to be silver plastic.. Order black instead and save the money. One other item - the included brush is not very useful for cleaning. I got a larger one (1/2 inch wide artist brush) from my coffee source and it works very well.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, construction, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well
Cons: "stainless steel" is silver plastic. buy the blac, cleaning brush too small. see my review notes.

This grinder lives up to its promise of no static, every ground pours out cleanly. This replaces my previous burr grinder that I loved the coffee it made, but hated the mess. My only negative to list is that I have to manually set the timer each use. I still love this grinder, with its one fault.

Quickly grinds beans to suit your brewing method. Accurate increments from coarse to powder. Unusually quiet, too. Instructions for use seem to lean more to disclaimer don'ts than user do's. Use of the timing dial isn't explained but you can figure it out with your first try. No more canned grinds in my pantry!

Have only used it since Christmas, but it gives an even grind and is very easy to use. We were having problems with our other grinder making the grind too fine and having the coffee clog the filter of our new coffee maker causing spillover, and this has eliminated the problem. Definitely recommended.

We purchased this to use with our new coffee make-the Technavorm Mocchamaster. In the past we had only used a blade grinder and we were never able to get a good grind for a drip maker. This is easy to use (and clean) gives you the ability to pick the grind, and its always consistant.. We are very happy with our purchase so far.
