Item was as described and I am very happy with it so far. It had a dent on the door when it was unpacked, but otherwise was in good shape.

Have shopped them all, but this one stood out. It's quiet, compact, sharp looking, and is keeping the wine at the temperature I ask it to. My only mistake was not ordering a BIGGER one.

Bought this product becouse I've LOVED everything else I've bought from Chefs. Unfortunately, this product ....Not so much! Unpacking was like opening up Russion dolls. One box after another, the next slightly smaller than the one before, untill I finally reached the product. I was pleasantly surprised at the nice appearance. It realy fit well with my decor. Plugged it in, adjusted the temp. , popped in a few bottles of wine, and waited the 24 hours it said it needed to reach the desired temp. I was once again pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was.( I've had wine coolers in the past with VERY load motors. )To my dismay, when I opened the door the next day, it felt room temp. inside. I then noticed none of the lights were on. NOTHING was ON. I tried a few different electrical outlets, thinking that was the problem, but no. It was DEAD, DEAD, DEAD! So...I'm returning it, and I will not be buying this brand again. On a good note, Chefs Catalog has been very helpful and easy with the return.

Big Mistake

This is a very disappointing purchase and I would have sent it back if it weren't for the fact that I had opened it and set it up before I read a yellow sheet of paper placed within the unit saying that it would not really keep the wines at the correct temperature under my needed circumstance, which obviously is why someone would buy the unit.
It also seemed very cheaply built; light and unsubstantial.
To make matters worse I purchased two units based on the perceived quality of the manufacturer and of Chefs Catalog.
Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style
Cons: Performance, Quality, poorly built; no substance

This small wine cooler is just what I need! Living in the tropics it's hard to keep wine at an optimum temperature and I like to have a good assortment on hand, mostly for cooking. The 16 bottle cooler allows me to keep reds and whites on hand and usable. The size is perfect- fits under my counter so there is no loss of counter space. I bought this at the sale price and got it with no shipping. Took all of 4 days to arrive. Another example of Chef's reliable service..
