Skillet, CSK-250 : Large 14" round skillet with
1,800-watt power excels in cooking performance with high
sides for extra cooking capacity and ease in stirring.
The encapsulated aluminum base provides superior heat
retention and even distribution without hot spots. Food
releases easily from the premium Ceramica nonstick
ceramic-based cooking surface that is exclusive to
Cuisinart. Environmentally-designed surface is
PTFE-free, PFOA-free, as part of Cuisinart's Green
Gourmet eco-conscious series for healthier cooking.
Adjustable temperature control ranges from "keep
warm" up to 450 degrees F to simmer, slow cook,
pan-fry and prepare stir-fries, stews and casseroles.
Thanks to the high-power wattage and extensive cooking
area, you can sear, griddle or braise meat, poultry or
fish in larger quantities with little or no use of oil
or butter. Non-petroleum based interior helps preserve
oil reserves. Polished stainless-steel exterior makes
this skillet an attractive server on the table. Die-cast
stainless-steel handles are securely mounted to the
skillet for ease in lifting and serving full-capacity
meals. The tempered glass lid sturdily crafted with a
riveted stainless-steel handle, outer stainless-steel

I own several electric skillets but this by far is my favorite. I prepared lamb shanks for Easter and this has the depth and space to cook enough for a large group with no problems whatsoever. Very easy to clean, too!!!
In the kitchen, I'm never without: Fresh garlic, herbs and homemade garlic oil.

The skillet was a perfect replacement to our 20 year old skillet. It heats up quickly and evenly and provides us increased capacity in comparison to our older skillet.
Skillet is very easy to clean and has not sticked once for us.
It is versatile in handling all kinds of food - chili, veal cutlets, fish, stirred vegetables.

Bought this for my daughter at Christmas and when my old one died, I decided to purchase for myself. A great investment! I have found that it gets a lot hotter than my old one so I have had to turn down the temp when cooking. It is really easy to clean. The only fault is the lit holds too much steam and water leaks out the top. Maybe someone has an idea on how to solve this problem.

I love this electric skillet. Worth every penny, and a must have. Cleans up with damp cloth. The size is perfect. Wonderful browning and even cooking. I would recommend this skillet to everyone. I, also, bought one as a Christmas gift for a family member.

Great !!! I've been looking for something like this. I can cook outside the house so my house does not smell. It's big to cook a lot a one time.I strongly recommend it.

This product is great it was a joy to use. But I did return it because the nonstick was peeling after four times of use.

First of all, I didn't realize how big this was. I guess I should have done some size comparison and measuring. It is really heavy. When I cooked a piece of meat in it doing a braise, the water spit out all around the lid onto the cabinet top and I had to keep mopping up water. It really needs some redesign, in my opinion. The non-stick was great.
In the kitchen, I'm never without: A good chopping knife.

While this skillet is pricy, it delivers everything promised in the manufacturers write-up. My wife doesn't believe in just wiping a skillet with a paper towel, but I suspect that's about all it takes to get this thing clean (not recomended, just an example). Now for the petty rantings of a happy customer. While the glass lid makes it possible to monitor the cooking progress without removing, it's kind of heavy. It also appears the steam vent might be a little small since most steam vents around the edge of the lid, not through the vent. Of course that could be due to what was being cooked, not the vent size.

I read the reviews prior to purchase and decided to order the skillet.
I just received the pan and have used it twice. I really like the size and the fact it is a "green" product. It cooks well and I love the warming function.
It has met my expectations and I would recommend the product.

Love this skillet. I thought 14" would be to large but the extra room is very nice. Clean up is easy. Cord is short but workable. I very much like cooking with this skillet .

It is a great electric skillet..looks good, does a teriffic job.
Be aware that it is NOT immersible. The instruction booklet is not very clear on this but I checked with Cuisanart and, after triple checking, the service rep confirmed that point.
It is still a breeze to clean and should not stop someone from purchasing.

I have wanted an electric skillet since FOREVER... finally found one I thought I would like and got it as a gift - This is AMAZING!

This product was great because it’s convenient and great for parties or friends gathering and will keep your food warm the entire time. The only cons is I hope they make it deeper, when I purchased the items I thought this was 5 ½ in. deep. They should specified that it is 5 ½ in deep but that is included the machine part under neat for the wok. Well, I’m Asian and for cooking noodles we need the deeper wok; to have more space for the ingredients. Besides this cons, everything is just great! I just hope they would make a deeper one and with long cord next time.

I was looking to replace my old electric skillet with a new and better one. This is not the case - I am very disappointed with this Cuisinart skillet. Even if you turn it on very high, if you are trying to brown something, it is not acceptable. I tried frying Chicken, which is one of the reasons I wanted it, and that was very unacceptable. If I still had the wrappings, I would return it immediately. Don't waste your money. By the way, I read your writeup on the skillet and it does not meet any of the written remarks - such as "excels in cooking performance".

Cons: Unreliable, does not maintain temperature

Undoubtedly this is the most handy item a cook could have in their kitchen! Plenty of room, heats quickly and retains desired temperature throughout the cooking period. The cooking surface is superb for its simplicity in cleaning and its non-stick ability when properly used. I have a commercial Vulcan restaurant gas range that I love, but it gets tiresome having to raise and lower the flame to keep the temperature level. Lately, I have been using my new Cuisinart far more than my Vulcan! The 1800 watt element is what was the deciding factor over other brand electric skillet's max 1500 watts! Truly an essential, well made WORKING tool every lucky cook should own! AC cord could be a foot longer.
