I've had Duralex glasses for over 20 years. They're ergonomically designed: easy to hold, feel solid and have clean lines. They're also stackable for easy storage. I also love the nested bowls.

I am not a fan of plastic and I'm sure these would have survived my three children. We now have a 3 year old grandchild in the house and so far this glassware has passed the test!

I am extremely pleased with these glasses. I put them in the microwave when having hot tea. One was dropped on the floor during Thanksgving and didn't break.

Absolutely love these glasses! I purchased the larger size for tea and was thinking they might be heavy and thick. They are perfect. I prefer a thinner glass from which to drink and these are just fine and the bonus is that they are so durable.

The glassware is classic in style and can easily go from casual to more formal usage. The weight of the glass is 'just right'; the Duralex name has retained a fine reputation for years and the Picardie Tumblers are a welcome addition to our kitchen!

These glasses are the answer to years of searching for glasses that are stackable, durable and, especially, normal-sized. Most similar glasses I've found have been 16 ounces or larger;, and too large to hold comfortably. The 12-ounce glasses are perfect. I only wish I'd looked here first!

I have been using Duralex glassware for years and find it an excellent value. I don't like drinking our of plastic and these glasses are as durable as plastic but are glass. I have dropped a glass and instead of breaking into a thousand pieces this product doesn't even chip. I am thinking about buying the set of bowls.

This is my first time buying from your company. I am very happy with the drinking glasses we bought. I more then likely will buy the smaller ones next time around. I especially like them when they come out of the dish washer and not have a resevoir on the bottom of the glass where water collects where my old glasses did.

Glasses have a nice shape & are light weight. If you chose to handwash, your hand fits inside easily. They also stack easily without getting stuck together.

I bought the large (16.75 oz) and small (10.5 oz) glasses after having shopped around at a bunch of different websites (Amazon, World Market, etc.), all of which seemed to offer different sizes in different packs of four or six. CHEF's had the sizes I wanted for everyday use, and so far the glasses have been great--everything I expected.
These are substantial glasses--if I knocked one over, I wouldn't expect it to shatter or even crack/chip. They're thick-walled everywhere but around the lip, which makes sense (no accidental dribbling). Another bonus is that when I drink hot coffee out of the large glasses, they're still comfortable to hold.
The only downside is I suspect that the large glass has a smaller capacity than it should--it's about the size of an American pint glass, but doesn't seem to hold a pint (much less a little over)... Optical illusion? I haven't tested this out, but I wish CHEFs offered six packs of the next larger glass--I would order them immediately. (I don't care so much if the juice glasses are smaller than stated, since even fresh juice has so much sugar--a little goes a long way.)

After becoming disgusted with thinner glasses and their tendency to break in the dishwasher, several years ago I purchased a set of thick, heavy bar glasses. While those glasses worked very well as far as breakage is concerned, they were pretty unwieldy for people (like children and my elderly mom) to handle when full. When I saw the Picardie glasses in the Chef's catalogue, I thought they might be a good compromise, and they have been. They are sturdy, but the tapered shape makes them much easier to handle.

I have owned these glasses for over three years and understand why they are used everywhere in France. Also, most French homes are equipped with these glasses. Durability of the product (none better) but also because of the perfectly designed form. Functionality and aesthetics both score very high. This is the classic design that is the "original". You grasp the glass at a nine sided area. The normal hand grabs 5 of the 9 sides. This is significant because that allows a perfect fit, one that feels exactly accurate. A fit that provides a feeling of a maximum hold on your drink. The round top with the slight arch is also perfect in the way it fits in your mouth. Artistically, it holds the timeless classic lines that work with nearly any setting. The nine sided polygon bottom with each corner leading upward to a form nine low arches, accents the round top of the glass and the slight arch of the lip. I believe this design will always be the champ because it was extremely well conceived. Note on trivia: If you keep your eyes open enough when viewing movies and television programs you can spot this classic in old and new scenes. It's the real deal.
