Onion Goggles

Onion Goggles : Protective goggles feature a soft foam seal inside the frame to keep out eye-stinging vapors when chopping onions, shallots, leeks, scallions and hot peppers. If you've tried rinsing onions under cold water, then you know the vapor still permeates the air and irritates your eyes. With these goggles, the anti-fog lenses offer maximum clarity and eye protection. Polycarbonate, foam and plastic. Available in red or tortoise. Storage case included. One unisex size fits most.

My eyes have always been super sensitive when cutting up onions. My eyes would burn and tear horribly! I used these Onion Goggles (I admit with some doubt) and THEY WORKED! I cut up two large yellow onions and no tears or burning whatsoever. Thank you so much!!

Bought 2, one for gift and another for me. Tried mine and no burning. Fit could be a problem for some. Of necessity, they must seal tightly against face, and thus must be firmly pressed and remain snug. Suspect that a face wider than mine might have difficulties. The carry-case closes with magnets, not snaps.

Of all my superfluous kitchen paraphenalia, onion goggles are the best. A simple, brilliant solution to keep one in the kitchen rather that going to wipe tears and wince in the next room.

I had heard about these goggles from a friend who said they work well. I always cry when cutting onions so I thought it would be worth it to try them out. They work very well and they are pretty to boot. Also, I have a smaller head and they still fit well.

I use lots of onions but they make my eyes water and sting when I cut them. I've tried all the usual recommendations to no avail. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE onion goggles except these don't fit!

These glasses serve two purposes. Stopping the tears and making other people laugh. Everyone made fun of me and thought these were a waste of money but they work! I use onions almost everyday and the tearing is horrible! The only down side is if you need glasses these won't fit over them. Yes, you could wear swimming goggles but these are much easier to put on.

After mangling a bunch of onions on a defective kitchen device, I decide to go back to using a knife when my vision returned. I bought these to protect my eyes and they work quite well. They were very comfortable, fit well (I'm a large person) and deserve a permanent place in the front of the drawer. THey come in a nice case to keep them from getting scratched by all the other stuff in those drawers.

I can now chopped several packages of green onions with absolutely no tears!! I chopped or slice onions for our salads almost every night and always light multiple candles but that only sort of worked. These goggles are a great tool because they work! Also love the case to keep them in with it's magnetic closure.
