Bought this as I have several recipes for meat balls, and I wanted to give more uniformity with my portions. This works wonderfully

Found that the tool is ok for portioning but still requires some forming with your hands. I thought the tool is a bit flimsy in construction and the scoop halves do not align, but then again I am a bit of a stickler forsuch details when expecting quality products.

I was expecting a size appropriate for Swedish or Hawaiian meatballs but this is bigger than that. More appropriate for spaghetti but works well and washes well.
Norpro's Meatballer needs some work to make it more comfortable on one's thumb and index finger. Otherwise it does its job well.

The size is perfect for meatballs, cupcake batter, etc. I also make butter balls which look really cute on a buffet.

this is great ,i did not know such a thing existed, thank you CHEF for having it,was simply a dream to make meatballs with, all the same size and super fast to make, thank you
I have found the Norpro meatballer a very useful tool. Not only does it shape the meatballs with out handling the meat ball mixture which adds to the tenderness of the meatball, it has proven helpful for baking. With the current resurgence of "cup cakes" as a form of art, I have found that when I spay the meatballer with cooking spay, I can use it to easily scoop cake batter into the cupcake muffin papers. The amount of batter remains consistant, and I can control the flow of the batter to the inside of the muffin papers without getting batter all over the muffin pan. The Chef's Norpro meatballer is easy to handle, clean and store. I will be looking for other uses for my new toy.
