: Save time in the kitchen with this integrated
mandoline that is two practical tools in one. Thumb knob
allows quick and easy 3-way adjustment: 1mm, 2mm, or 3mm
to slice paper-thin vegetables for garnishes and thicker
slices for salads and casseroles. The julienne blades
create thin "matchstick" strips for salads and
heftier slices for stir-fries, fajitas and French fries.
Wide surface accommodates larger vegetables and fruits
and this mandoline features a unique no-slip grooved

I received the slicer promptly expecting run-of-the-mill. But no. Used intelligently this product not only delivers but is quick efficient and easy clean-up. I would buy again from Chefs.

I bought 4 of these things for Christmas and one for myself.
I USE IT EVERY DAY. If you have a salad at dinner or any time, it is wonderful for daily small projects. Cukes/carrots/potatoes etc.

A great product, the size is just perfect. I have a large professional mandolin and is very uncomfortable to use for small jobs.

A worthy substitute for the pricier mandolin. It produces good results on all settings but the thickness can vary a bit depending on how much pressure you put onto it. The guard is very, very good, much better than on my $300 mandolin, it holds the food securely and there is minimal waste. This is easy to clean and much easier to store than the larger mandolin and I use it all the time now and have bought more as gifts.

This mandoline is a great time saver and the best part practically no teary eyes when preparing onions. I like the ease of selecting the size of the vegetables for a salad, slaw, or adding pizazz to the humble burger!

Bought this great gadget for slicing so don't have to get food processor out. Wow is it great. Love the julienne cutting feature with just a flip of the knob.
Like the safety switch to protect from sharp blade when not in use. for the money, this is a handy and useful tool that no kitchen should be without.

This product is not only effective for several slicing thicknesses, but the cleanup is a breeze! Easy prep, because there is no lugging out heavy food processors. It is quick and the cleanup is so simple.

This mandoline works very well. It is simple and easy to use without having a bunch of blades and separate pieces to store. This is a nice compact tool and it slices perfect slices to fit your need.

This is a neat product. I have a food processor but don't like to go through the hassle of getting it out and setting it up for small slicing jobs. This is why I looked into a mandolin. I also looked at the large, professional-type mandolins. Again for a small slicing job, what a lot of work in the set-up. This small slicer can handle large onions, etc and is so easy to use! All the slices come out uniformly sliced and look terrific in the dish. It's very easy to adjust slice thickness as well. And it juliennes. It's well-built too, and easy to clean. Very handy product!

I am so happy with my new mandoline slicer, in fact, I have to tell you that this is my favorite purchase. I own two other mandolines, and this one, by far, is the best. Very easy to use, taking little space, and really easy to clean afterwards. I highly recommend this great kitchen tool.

I was looking for a slicer that was a little wider than usual as I often slice sweet onions, which are rather wide. I haven't used this product myself, but my son thinks I am a genius for getting it. Set on medium, with the julienne blades turned on, this slicer does a great job of making chopped onions. I like the way it feels in the hand, and the way it snaps into the various depth settings. It also cleans very easily. I like the fact that the julienne blades are captive and not just sticking up. It makes it almost impossible to bend them that way - a problem I had with my other slicers that used removable inserts. All in all, a very well built product that does the job very well.

I generally cook just for two. This mandoline is perfect for small jobs, such as cooking for two, It's simple to use, easy to clean and stores easily. I tend to use it two or three times a week, for salad additions (a few swipes of cucumber or zuchinni, for example), and to prepare thin sliced onions for a sandwich or to melt into a sauce. It's quicker and better than a knife for preparing consistently thin slices, and the price is right.

Originally when I bought this item about a year ago it was simpler (did not julienne and wasn't constructed as sturdily as it is now). It broke in the middle of slicing very hard onions. The blade just came out and got stuck in the onion. I was very upset because I loved this little mandoline, so versatile. It was light and compact. I could hold it over anything that I needed to slice. Even a pan on the stove, while it was cooking, I could slice into it. I went online and saw this very similar item. well this is even better. It's more sturdy but still light and compact and now it juliennes. Fabulous. Thanks for making improvements that count and make it even better. I can still do all I did before but confident that it will hold up and last.

One of the earlier reviews said "not very sharp" and sorry to say I agree. The blade just isn't very sharp. The product would be great otherwise...holds easily, adjusts widths easily, raises Julienne blades easily. I just doesn't cut easily. Too bad.
