I expected this to be a good product because I own Henkel knives. My surprise was how good it is for "lefties" -- a problem I have encountered with peelers in the past. I also appreciate the heavy feel to the product. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Offered by Cooks and made by Henckels (and with the other product reviews on these peelers) I expected these would do a better job. I ordered one for myself and one for a daughter - and I'm returning both. Not sharp enough nor nimble enough for peeling potatoes and apples for me......
Perhaps the swivel blade works better than these?

This Henckel Peeler is comfortable in any size (smaller to larger) hand, and takes a very thin peel, which makes it excellent for Tomatoes, Peppers, and other softer vegetables.
Pros: Easy to Clean/Wash, Value for Money, quality, easy to use, construction, size, Appearance/ Design /Style, Performs Well, durability, Functional/Useful, Long-lasting, Weight

This is the first non-swiveling peeler I have tried. I think it might be "user error" and I haven't quite picked up the technique, but it does quite a hack job peeling carrots. ( I don't care how they look but it peels off more than is necessary - not that it is necessary to peel carrots at all - which is wasteful.) Have not tried anything else yet but expect similar results. Hopefully with practice I develop a lighter touch - I will say the swivel peelers are much more fool-proof!
Other than that, the peeler is well made and looks sleek. It is also easier to clean without the swivel.

Cons: Difficult to use
