Breville Smart Grill, BGR820XL : This top
quality non-stick indoor grill has six height settings
and integrated drip tray. Adjust the height of the
removable, dishwasher-safe plates to avoid crushing food
or open it all the way up in 180 degree barbecue mode.
The flat bottom plate is suitable for eggs and pancakes
while the top plate is ribbed to sear meats. Plate
positions are interchangeable and can be extended into
an opened, flat "BBQ Mode". Dishwasher safe
plates are embedded with smart heating elements to
inspire pitch-perfect results. Element IQ compensates
for the temperature drop when cold food is placed onto
the pre-heated surface. As sensors detect this heat
drop they compensate by injecting heat for rapid
recovery back to the desired cooking temperature. The
1800 watt embedded heating design ensures maximum heat
into the plates for faster cooking and reduced
pre-heating time. This creates a BBQ-quality sear and

The grill construction is very study and well thought out. The non-stick finish preforms well and is easy to clean when the grill is still warm. My husband and I use the grill daily for fish and veggies and have found that it cuts down on cooking time tremendously as well as providing better tasting food. The only possible inconvenience would be for those who cannot leave it out on the counter. In my opinion, the size it just perfect but it would be cumbersome to put away daily so for the most ease, having an area designated for the grill makes this the perfect kitchen companion. Buy it, you will get years of use and enjoyment (and it makes entertaining a breeze having the fast and easy cooking surfaces).

The Smart Grill works perfectly (so far) and is very easy to clean. The construction of the Smart grill is excellent and I believe very well made. My wife and I are thinking about getting another one so we can have more cooking surface. Don’t let the price scare you off it is worth it.

I purchase this heavy duty grill. It is more than I could have hoped or dreamed it would be. I have cooked different items, paninis', steaks,pancakes,bacon, veggies,eggs and everything I have cooked has been perfect. Of course, I have been told I am an excellent cook by many, so cooking skills are essential. I would recommend this to anyone. I was very hesitant of the price, but I am so glad I splurge and bought this one, I should have this for many years to come. The packing was superb, this was my first order from Cooks and I can assure you it will not be my last. I thoroughly recommend them for gifts that will be of high quality that you can proudly give to your family and friends, and of course give yourself a treat too.

We have only had this one week, but already love it. So far we have grilled zuccini, squash, onions,and peppers, and ribeye steaks about 1 1/2 in. thick. Every thing was perfect.
It is quick to heat and easy to clean. I have not used my outside gas grill since the smart grill arrived.

Much better than less expensive model. Heats very well and fast. The leveling lever is absolutely the best thing about the unit, aside from the fact the whole unit is outstanding. No negatives. It would be nice if the timer ran to seconds as well as minutes.

It was a hard decision to shell out the big bucks for this appliance but the quality is all there. I have owned two George Foreman grills. First a small one then I upgraded to the larger one when I found I used it a lot. It had it's quirks (hard to clean, didn't drain juices to the catcher very well) but it did the job. When the handle broke I decided it was time for the next upgrade since I did use it so much.
Love - quality, the plug and plug storage, the drip tray is built in, lock to close and stand upright (great for storing)

Would like - floating hinge, I don't really get the preset heights because the back is always lower than the front, dual temps
