I grew tired of watching my husband at holiday meals struggle with carving the meat. I gave this to my husband for Christmas along with a carving board and Chef's heat lamp to create a carving station like the pros. My husband loved it! The carving set is superb quality. My husband had no problem carving beautiful cuts of meat.

I have used Wusthof knives before and have been completely satisfied. So, I had no problem ordering the meat fork and knife. I am very satisfied wit the the quality. I used them the same day I received them when I made corn beef and cabbage. After using them I placed them in my Wusthof knive block.

Wusthof cutlery is one of the premium brands for home chefs. the 9 inch carving knife and serving fork were a perfect addition to the rest of my Wusthof set.

The carving knife is vvvvvery very sharp as with all my knives and scissors collection.

We have the Wusthof Classic Ikon set of cutlery but the line doesn't have a carving set. I was hesitant to order this for fear that it wouldn't be the same quality as what we have. We were not disappointed. My husband carved our Christmas Prime Rib like a pro!

Construction was more lightweight than I was lead to believe from the photos in the catalouge. The knife works well and is easy to guide and the fork is functional although rather on the small side. I was expecting a carving set a step up and heavier from what it turned out to be. Proves the adage: you get what you pay for.
