I love how flexible it is -- it can go on various sized pans and in weird shaped spots in the dishwasher. A much more useable item than a fixed size sheild.

This is the best! I received this as a gift and it worked so much better than my old metal pie crust shields. I love the adjustment and the fact that it didn't ding or flatten my crust. I'll be ordering another for myself and some for gifts for my baking friends.
I was concerned about storage, but found a zipper storage bag works great.

As soon as this item arrived I baked a pie. It's fabulous! I've had the metal crust covers and they never seem to fit my pie plates. And pieces of foil? Forget about it. My teens are thrilled because I'm making more pies.

This product is great! The crust comes out a nice golden brown with no more burning on the edges. The bright color is nice also. I would recommend this to anyone. If you want to put it in the dishwasher just make sure you put it on the top. Stores easily and takes hardly no room at all. Mine just lay flat on top of each other in the corner of the drawer. If you make pies buy this product. You'll love it!

Having lots of fruit trees I bake many pies. I love, love, this product. I often bake 20 pies during the fruit season with many different size pie pans, and this product adjust to any size.

My son has been baking pies since he was 12 years old. He is the family pie baker! He always complains about having to create the foil pieces to protect the pie crusts of his pies. A friend told me about the pie shield so in addition to other items for his Father's Day gift this year I gave him two of the pie shields. It was a big hit! "No more using foil pieces! I tried making a pie shield out of foil. What a mess. This product fits any size pie pan with no effort. If you cook many pies, you must have this silicon pie shield. No more burnt edges ever.

IN the past I have tried to put aluminum foil around the edges of my pie crusts. Never works, because the convection oven relocates the aluminum every time. This adjustable pie shield works great. My pie edges were crisp and tanned not burnt!

The best part about finding this flexible pie shield is that it fits all sizes of pie. Easy to use compared to the rigid metal one that I use to use. If it didn't fit the pie, there was nothing that I could do. In those instances it didn't really protect the crust adequately. This shield helps to avoid all that. I would recommend it for all of those pie bakers.

The silicon pie shield works as advertised to protect the outer crust from burning. However, it was advertised as working on 8, 9 and 10 inch pie pans. Well, it does not. I have a 9.5 inch pie pan and the silicone shield comes up 2 inches short. I even photographed the item and emailed it in to Chefs and didn't even get a response. That surprised me because Chef's has always been top notch with customer service. My guess is the measurement of the pie dish needs to include the width of the crust lip around the edges of the pie dish. So buyer be ware, measure your pie dish from outer edge to outer edge. Don't go by the measurement stamped on the dish.

I own a lightweight aluminum pie crust shield but it seldom fits the size I need. I also have a silicone 4 piece set where you overlap the ends to make it fit. However, because the 4 separate curves are not connected they tend to fall into the pie filling. This seems to be much more sturdy since it is one piece.

I love to bake pies, but invariably the fluted crust gets a bit more brown than I like while baking the pie to perfection. I've tried the metal protectors in the past, but they didn't seem to help much. I baked a pumpkin pie last night with this new silicone style crust protector, and it was perfect! It's flexible and does not wreck the beautiful crust edge. I'm excited!

I haven't used these yet, as I don't bake pies that often, but I wish I had them at Thanksgiving and Christmas when I baked my pumpkin pies. I know they have to be 100% better than fighting with making it out of aluminum foil.
