I have purchased two of these butter dishes so far, one as a gift and then one for myself. They are very nice looking, affordable, and make a nice addition to any kitchen.

Had bought one of these butter dishes in Ireland over 5 years ago and it broke on me recently. I was heartbroken to lose this item as it was similar to one my Mum had back home. I was pleasantly surprised to find the exact same dish on your site. Good quality and good value. Thank you.

Clear glass makes it easy to see what you've got and easy to clean. Sturdy. Easily holds two 1/4 lb. sticks of butter. Don't expect it to hold a full pound block.

This butter dish is attractive and durable. It easily holds a stick of butter. It is dishwasher safe, a requirement for any butter dish. Requires minimal refrigerator space.

I love my little cow butter dish. I buy uncut organic butter and this is just perfect for keeping it fresh instead of keeping it wrapped up. Besides, I love cows!

Very nice addition to the table, and butter is always "serve-ready." The cow embossing is quaint and appropriate. I would like to have had a small knob handle on top, however; makes it easier to use. Otherwise, a delightful server and keeper.

We absolutely love this butter dish. Not only is it charming but it keeps our butter fresh. Everyone asks where we bought it, they assume that it is an antique and love the fact that they can get one.

Abundant size to accomodate a full pound of butter, which comes in handy when we have a cabin full of people during the summer months. Also like that the cover is easy to handle when removed.

I had been in the market for a Butter Dish .So tired of wrapping and unwrapping to use. And the odors the other foods always seem to penatrate and leave an off taste to the butter. I came across plastic butter keepers but they never seem to wash away the butter fats and look tacky. With the Luminarc Glass Butter Dish I'm happy with my choice. The dish holds 4 1/4 lbs sticks or 1lb block of butter. The cow design is charming and I turn the lid over and serve the butter to the table.

This is a very nice dish. BUT it is very hard to get the lid off because there is no handle. If this does not bother you then it is a great dish. My wife and I can't deal with the difficulty of removing the cover so we will get another style.

This weekend wasn't the first time my poor wee cow butter dish has been launched from its perch in the refrigerator door and hit the floor, but after 3-4 years of such misadventure, the top finally broke. The bottom survived, but so much of its charm is the top with the embossed cow, so ... I'm back for another. Besides being so darn durable it keeps butter fresh and odor-free, it's big enough for a brick of Kerrygold, it protects butter from the voracious cat, and it's cute as a button. No other butter dish will do!

I bought this butter dish because I like to use one pound block of butter. A 1 lb. block dosen't fit in the dish until you cut about a half an inch off one side.

i love the way that this holds more than a thin stick of butter. you must not limit the staff of goodness that way. now i can grab some homemade rolls and bread and not tear them up trying to spread on the goodness. ( secret: i have even dipped my favorite rolls and it works just great )

I've actually had this butter dish for probably 20 years. I use it all the time. It's very attractive, can be used on the table, and has held up very well. When I saw it in the catalog I bought several as gifts for friends.

I saw a couple of review that indicated this is too short for a 1 lb. brick of butter. In the hopes that theirs are bigger than the ones I get, I gave it a shot. Wrong. It's attractive; but, it's going back.
Options: 1) Don't buy 1 pound bricks of butter 2) Don't buy this dish 2) Wait until butter is soft then squish down the lid 3) Cut off a ~1/2 inch slice of the brick.
