Preset water temperatures ensure each variety of tea steeps at the proper temperature. A countdown steeping timer can be adjusted to increase or decrease steeping time according to taste. Or remove the stainless tea infuser to turn this tea steeper into a kettle by putting on the"kettle lid" on; and heat up to 1.2 liters of water fast. This became the most-used appliance in our kitchen from the moment we took it out of the box. It heats water in less time than stove-top or microwave making it very energy efficient. Best of all, it is easy to use. Simply fill the carafe water for the number of cups of tea you wish to make, put your loose tea in the infuser, select the type of tea you are using and press start. The unit beeps when it is time to lower the infuser (or add tea bags). It beeps again when brewing time is over and then keeps it all warm for another 30 minutes. Fantastic!

Love the vesatility of this kettle! Setting one of the preset temperatures (also labeled with the type of tea), coupled with the adjustable steeping timer to remind you when your tea is ready equals no overbrewed, bitter tea. While a little loose tea has made it thru the SS basket, it is a tiny amount that I don’t mind - the filter on the spout keeps it in the pot till cleanup. Adjustable Auto Keep Warm option is an added advantage for refills. Satisfied to read on packaging "All materials that come into contact with food or liquids are BPA free." I was hesitant about buying a glass kettle, but durability is not a concern on this model and I now much prefer its visibility of contents.

HELLO: MY HUSBAND AND I ARE AVID TEA DRINKERS AND WE LOVE THIS POT. WE USE IT DAILY AND LIKE THE EASY TO UNDERSTAND FEATURES THIS POT HAS. I MAKE SEVERAL GALLONS OF TEA FOR THE WEEK AND TO TAKE TO WORK. THIS IS THE BEST TEA POT I HAVE EVER USED AND HAVE PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE TO SAVE ON TEA PRDUCTION TIME IN MY BUSY DAY. ALSO QUICK AND EASY CLEAN UP.
