I bought this for my partner who does nearly all our cooking (I bake and clean for my penance). He said the Taylor brand was a good one and he was correct. Ironically, I was the first person to use the gadget on some whole wheat bread I was baking. The reading was accurate: the loaf that was not done did not register the desired temp and the one that was reached that temp. So there! I should have left the bigger loaf in and checked it again!
