I purchased this thinking it would be a great new gadget for my kitchen. I have not used it yet, but it arrived already bent. In attempting to bend one strand back I realized how flimsy it is. Not sure it will even cut through a tomato. But, since I haven't actually used it yet I can only comment on the condition it arrived in.

Absolutely worthless - will not go any further than half way through a tomato.

Very disappointed. blades were bent out of shape and does not cut through a very ripe tomato well.

I was ecstatic about my new tomato slicer. I was then severely disappointed to find it would not slice a tomato. The blades are flimsy and not sharp at all. I had to saw back and forth only to have the tomato get stuck and mangled beyond all recognition. What a waste of money!

A bit disappointing

Looked forward to having a simpler, more uniform way of slicing a tomato. This slicer is not sharp, wont cut through the whole tomato without tearing, and refuses to cut the skin on the bottom of the cut. Used it on small tomatoes and it didn't reach the full width of the tomato. Can't imagine trying to cut a large tomato with it. Or maybe it takes slicer training to learn to operate it properly. A disappointment.
