Very dull out of the box. Unacceptable. It squishes cheeses and mashes meats even after trying to put an edge on them with a diamond sharpening stone! The grind on the blade edge is way too course for my stones. I will have to take them to get a proper edge put on the set. Not worth the money. By the way, the cutting board is an extra $40 Coulda shoulda woulda got the Wustof set instead.
