It met my need for storage in our apartment with very little cupboard space and no ability to install a rack on the wall, but be careful when you first start using it! I suggest testing your glassware on a larger surface with a towel around the base. Some of my glasses - of normal size - appeared to be balancing fine but would slide off within the hour. I wouldn't trust this with your nice crystal, but it is a pretty efficient way to store the everyday wine glasses. It would be a fun way to share glasses at a casual party or a tasting.
