A plancha is fantastic for making Spanish grilled food and much more. More control of heat, fantastic for delicate seafood and other items. The best burgers Ihave ever made are to delicate for the grate. The plancha is perfect. They have a lot of minced onions and parsley in them and would fall right through the cracks. They sear beautifully on the plancha. Greart for grilling vegetables. They brown nicely without charring from direct flame. Blackening fish is much nicer to do outside too. Give it time to get hot and it will not disappoint.

My husband loves to grill on a cast iron grille, but the cleanup is a mess with burned on marinades. This grille cleans up real well.
I have also used it in the oven with great success.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish it were a little larger.
