I was not disappointed when I used my griddle for the first time. I just got it and was anxious to try it out, so instead of grilling the chicken breasts for dinner I cooked them on my new griddle....easier clean-up than my grill. Can't wait to use it for a batch of pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches.....I'm getting hungry just thinking out it. Great quality, American-made...it doesn't get any better than this.

I tend to cook meals that are:Comfort
I have a smooth top range and found the griddle doesn't heat evenly. Even tried placing the griddle across two burners with out any luck.
My first try was to do pancakes and they cooked great the closer to the center of the griddle then the ends. Next try were eggs and they did a little better, but again the further away from the center the less they cooked.
I grew up with cast iron, so I don't believe a lack of knowledge with the griddle is the problem.

As a big fan of cast iron all my life, this griddle was just what I needed after I got a new gas range. The first thing I used it for was hamburgers. I was able to cook 9 large burgers at once and no matter where they were, the browning was even on every burger. Even out at the corners, they browned just as well as the ones in the middle. Great addition to my extensive cast iron cookware!
