Bottle Stopper Set

"What can one say about a bottle stopper? It is as advertised..."a set of four assorted geometric shapes." I usually, just stick the cork back into the top of the bottles from whence they came. But, on those occasions when the cork comes out a bit damaged, I decant into a decanter. However, on those rare occasions when I'm alone I will use a stainless steel bottle stopper. These will do the trick nicely. However, I do not use the elliptical wooden storage base.It is just plain tacky, I would have preferred a velvet or silk lined box. .:-)"

Pretty But Not the Best Option

Pros: classic sleek look Cons: don't fit as snugly as other options
"The metal bottle stoppers are really pretty, but don't give as tight a seal as I like, they tend to wobble around rather than tightly grip the inside of the bottle."

"I bought this set 4 years ago because it seemed to be a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised with the weight of the stoppers and the look of the base - definitely looks and feels more expensive than it was. We have since purchased multiple sets and have used it as hostess gifts throughout the years. I do open them and check to verify no flaws before I give to someone - but so far we have not had any problems!"

you get what you pay for

"I had bought these as a gift for a friend, but when they arrived , I knew there was no way I was going to embarrass my self by giving these. There were airbubbles in the finish on two of them, rust on another one, and the wooden base had chips in it. Returning for a refund."

"Twice I have given this item as a gift, and both recipients were very happy with it. They both admired the contemporary design and functionality. The only thing that keeps this from being "5 Star", in my opinion, is the wooden storage base seems small for the set...and kind of "top heavy" once the stoppers are in it. It doesn't tip over if on a flat surface, though. For the sale price, it is an excellent value."
