Thick base retains heat. Great non-stick surface. Best non-stick pan I have ever owned. Bought a 8 inch at same time and just ordered the 12.5 inch.

I was excited to try out this new pan. I had read where this surface is really a "no stick" material. Now I can fry an egg with no oil !!! Nothing has stuck to it so far. The surface is durable, you cannot scratch it if you tried. The heat is evenly distributed. I use this size of pan a lot...so I am happy I spent the money to have a quality pan.

This 14" completes my different sizes of Scanpan Fry Pans... Nothing better for non-stick, I still use my All Clad stainless, but no brand matches the Scanpans for non-stick. Worth the money, I'll never need to buy another one.

The Scanpan classic frying pans are terrific! They are truly non-stick, and they conduct heat well and evenly. I have had several of these pans in other sizes for years, and they continue to be my go-to pans. It's worth paying extra for great pans.

The SCANPAN group of cooking pans, the frying pans, the saute and others are the best quality I have ever used. I've been cooking over 40 years, been a member of a Gourmet Cooking club for 25 years, have tried them all, but nothing compares to the quality, the ease of cleaning and the beautiful non-stick quality of SCANPAN. They worth every penny and when CHEF's throws them on sale, buy them up! Makes you look really good in the kitchen!!!

This is my 2nd scanpan. I like this size for cooking some things for just 2 people. It's not too heavy and heats evenly, easy to clean.. Great for scrabbled eggs.

This is my second Scanpan. It doesn't contain any polycarbons so it is an excellent nonstick which is safe and healthy to use. The surface works beautifully with or without oil.

Great "little" fry pan. Scanpans last a long time and they are so easy to clean. I have All Clad as well and typically defer to Scanpan because they are so easy.

This is THE BEST non-stick pan ever. I'm old enough to remember the first Teflon junk that seemed so cool, but just didn't last. And this one has NO, as in ZERO, bad chemicals! Nice heavy weight like a frying pan, not flimsy feeling. OUTSTANDING!

I have had Classic Scan Pans for more than 25 years and they still looks as good as the day they were new. I have the skillets, sauce pans, saute pans and Dutch Ovens, all in several different sizes. They have been in my oven up to the 500 deg and, though not recommended, in my dishwasher many, many times. The non-stick still performs perfectly and clean up is a breeze. I have only used metal utensils and there is not 1 scratch on any of them. I recently purchased the 9.25", 11" & 12.25" skillets as a gift for a friend who fell in love with my Scan Pans while staying with me. Though not inexpensive, I don't know of any other cookware that could have gone through what mine has for 25+ years and stil be as good as the day I bought it.!
Favorite Brand: Scan Pans and Kitchenaid

They were delivered promptly . I am completely satisfied with the Scanpans and Chef's service. I will purchase other sizes as soon I can afford them.

This is a well made, heavy, large non-stick frying pan. I made 6 perfect blueberry pancakes in this pan. Very even non-stick cooking. It can handle large items and quantities Great for large fish, steaks or lots of fried potatoes. Love it! Good investment.

We have a smooth top electric stove and most of our fry pans did not sit flat over the burners.
The Scanpans fit flat and are very durable. The nonstick coating is especially tough; although we still use nylon coated utensils.
In short, we are very happy with our purchase.

Love, love, love this pan. It truly is non stick, can use metal spoons, flippers or whatever with it. wonderful surface. this pan is for the person who likes to "buy one to last a life time". It would be a great gift for a newly married couple... they would enjoy your gift for the rest of their lives..... as for me, I am an older person who got tired of wasting money purchasing pans that after using them for a few times they began losing their surface. I bought the 14 inch pan and now plan to buy some smaller ones. My husband loves the larger one as he can put an entire breakfast in it at once.I wash this planin the dishwasher and it is great, but it hardly needs much cleaning .... just a paper towel wipe does it. It is everything the maker said is way. Thanks, Bevie

My husband ruined my Calphalon non-stick pan (which was only so-so, anyway), so I did some research on line to see if I could choose a substitute. I chose Scanpan (due to good reviews from various sources), and it looked like it would fit the bill, and I shopped until I found a good price. The size is perfect, the bottom very sturdy and level, and it heats evenly. I have used it 5 times so far, and love it very much! Just what I wanted to cook grilled sandwiches, warm tortillas, eggs, and anything that does not need a deeper or high heat pan. I highly recommend it.

After my first scanpan I stoped testing other brands. It is durable. It is easy to clean. It is a little pricey, however it outlast the other "big named brands" and if you wait you can usually find a sale. It is a little heavy, but it is made to last like stuff use to be made. I will never stray from this brand.
